This was priced @ $28K a year ago. Reputible dealer, good price, too bad about the color combo. I'd pull the trigger if it was blue exterior with a beige interior. Could do the black interior with a silver exterior, but can't do Blue/black. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1982-Ferrari-Mondial-8-/190495222419?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2c5a666a93 No affiliation. At 28k it was way overpriced, for not much more $ buy a qv or a 3.2. Many improvemnents plus better styling.
That is a really nice car. I've never seen that color, I'm fairly sure its been resprayed to that French blue. Nice car though.
I my yellow 82 burned up tomm I would likely be heading south to get a blue replacement at that price
A friend had a 308 GT4 and I think it was this same color. Rare and really can catch the eye. In fact I would not mind having the color in a GT4...
Well i like the color a lot, of course I am rather biased since I own the car!! The color is Azzuro Dino and was the launch color for the Mondial - somewhere I have the original launch announcement and the cover car is pictured in this color. She has had the same mechanic all her life, Tom Jones (aka, Ferrarioldman) at Sport Auto, and only two owners. I bought her from the original owner who went to Italy to spec the car. Absolutely meticulous service and records from day one. In fact the engine was replaced under warranty at around 30k miles for excessive oil burn. Miles now are @45k on the chassis. Either Tom Jones or Steve Barney can give you all the details from day one. Of course it comes with all the records from the original window sticker to the latest service - done within the last few years. Interestingly, this was the first Ferrari I ever saw in the flesh way back in the early 80's. The owner was a neighbor. A couple of years ago when he decided to sell, I had to buy it. Yes, the Mondial may be the less loved of the Ferrari herd, but this is a really good one. When I bought her, I was thinking about a supercharger but because she is such a time capsule I decided to keep it all original - other than a new headliner as the foam backing of the original had turned to dust. I'd love to keep her, but I just don't have the time or the space. You can buy her for the price of an unloved beater and have a really nice car that is completely sorted and properly maintained for her whole life. If you have any questions, drop Tom or Steve a linel at www.sportauto.us.
There is this 308 GTS that I saw at a local (Abbotsford, B.C., Canada) car show back in 2004 that is painted in the same blue colour. The owner also owns a Lambo Jalpa... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Must be the same one I saw at MI not too long ago being serviced. A real beauty! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Brad Here from Dallas Texas. Just bought the Mondial from Sport Auto and she should ship by next week!!! Love the car this will be my first. Have a baby on the way so sold a couple of my 2 seat toys, GMC Syclone and my single cab SRT10 dodge to buy this 4 seat work of art. Tom just did an oil change on her today and I can't wait to drive!!! Norwood Performance here in Dallas will be doing most services but my parents live in Wilmington so for its next major she will see Tom again, trailer her in on a visit to the parents. Any who I will post some pics when she arrives. PS The Blue sold me....
Congrats, im sure Norwoods could do the major for less hassle though. Any issues that come up, your right there.
The trip to NC for the service would give me a reason to take it to the Blue Ridge Parkway , and Tail of the dragon..... There are no roads like these in Texas
Congrats! That is probably one of the best bought cars on this board. The color is magnificent, the service history and ownership history are stellar and the price unbelievable. I couldn't be happier for you! Welcome to the club! Hopefully our paths will cross one day and I will get to see that beauty up close.
