Anyone have any experiences with a BMW 750iL Protection (i.e. armored)?

I had a regular 750iL of similar vintage and it was likely the worst car I've ever owned. I can't imagine that adding weight and complexity would make things any better.

gotta luv '50s american iron / sedans, several rebuilt examples around these days, especially nice with more modern drivelines and A/C........there was a hornet fs with an LS some months back, otherwise it looked original

Nothing yet. Should take delivery on a Fiat 500 in the next few weeks, but that doesn't qualify as a barge.

Another car on the radar screen, stared due diligence (again). Original owner, epa and dot paperwork in hand, $24k freshening a few years ago, has minor needs now. More later.

I recently looked hard at a 280SE 3.5 coupe. Did ya know the wood is all one piece?

I passed on it because the first thing the owner did was open the sunroof. It seems the A/C does a really great job, of cooling your right knee. It gets hot in Texas.
