    Just some footage I had laying around figured I would share... Its pretty ridiculous

    basically a 9 second daily cobra.

    Yes, but can that thing turn?

    Beating a GTR is easy....but how about beating the weather?

    What about when it rains if it's gonna be a daily??

    He's in Florida. Seriously, why should rain keep him from being able to drive? And yes, they can turn (the 2011 Cobra turns better, but Cobra's can turn).

    Is a GTR particularly known for it's drag-racing ability? I thought they were set up for high G cornering and just happened to have a powerful engine as well. American muscle cars stereotypically are set up with powerful engines first and foremost, with cornering ability as an afterthought.

    The KR is known for it's handling prowess, the GT500 is just OK in the turns. Too soft, and far too much dive.

    Can't make out a roll bar in the footage which makes that car ineligible for track days unless private rental like in the footage. At a minimum, you'll get one run and your done at most tracks. As to turning, who cares? The car is set up for straight line accelaration only. The problem is that the car will not perform as well on the street versus the track and it won't turn well due to its intended purpose. Just another car set up to go fast in a straight line but can only do it on the street where much of the fun is in turning.

    Not knocking the car but I would rather have the GT-R on the street where most of either car's life is going to be spent.

    No you guys are right.

    The skyline is a all around better performer. But the sound that supercharged V8 make just makes me drool..


    I always thought the 500 series cobras handled pretty decent. soft but decent. I its a straight axle..... that's like trying to corner a mini van. so I give it a fair rating for what it is.

    It depends on the track and what they have for events some tracks up here have no et events and basically you leave off the tree and thats all thats on. Theres numerous 8 and 9 second cars that have no cages.

    this isnt ricerchat can you please take these vids somewhere else ....there is another section for other cars ....down the bottom ...its called ferrarichat for a reason
