I'll be down there at Russo and Steele where my '64 Pontiac GTO will not be making its reserve but I'm sure I'll check out Barrett-Jackson and I'd like to see Evel Kenievel's Daytona Spider over at the RM auction. Anyone else going to be in Scottsdale drooling over 2000 cars at 5 different auctions? Also, if there's a car you want pictures of, shoot me a PM and I'll try to get it done. Gooding and Company will be auctioning off another Daytona Spider and also an F40, an F50, a 333 SP AND a FXX Evoluzione!

If you'll be there Monday can you help me load this GTO back on the trailer so I can tow it back to Albuquerque?

Going to Barrett-Jackson Thurs-Sun. Really looking forward to it! First time. Not really looking for anything, just for the experience.

I will be at Barrett-Jackson Tuesday through Sunday as my company, Hennessey Performance will have a couple cars on display. I am planning on making the side trips to RM and the other auctions. Come by the Hennessey display and ask for Don.

I've never been, but I could go for a day or two. Is there a cost for entry? How does it work for sellers, if you're selling a car? Good way to sell?

Going with a few guys that took care of everything so I'm not 100% sure. I think you have to register to get into the tent and be a bidder/seller. Pretty sure the seller has to pay an 8% commission to the house. Buyers pay 10% commission added to the cost of the winning bid.

If you're going to Barrett-Jackson there is an entry fee for each day. Earlier in the week is cheaper than Friday and Saturday, which can run $45 or so.

Anybody can get into the tent at Barrett but there is reserved seating for bidders and bidder guest.

I dropped off three cars at Russo Steele today for one of my customers, so my wife and I will around the auctions this week.

    LOL

Love the enthusiasm for your GTO NOT meeting reserve... hey who knows... sometimes cars go for stupid money... it all depends on if you can get two over ego'd drunk guys chasing your car. Which... in Scottsdale... happens frequently

It didn't meet reserve. We towed it back. Now we have to wait 90 days before we can market or sell the car.

Plus, some toolbag was stealing cigarette lighters out of cars at Russo & Steele. They got ours and several others.

    Sorry to hear that,

Doesn't Surprise me from the Russo and Steele outfit.

Personally haven't had any good experience with them and I have heard quite a few stories similar to yours.

Im sure they will be pissed that I said something against them... but that outfit has rubbed me the wrong way several times...

WTH. That's ridiculous. Are the cars usually unlocked when they are on display under the tent (I've never touched those cars, nor tried to open a door).

Sadly missed out on RM. :(

The cars are unlocked. R&S takes two copies of the keys as soon as you park the car. If you have an extra set, they take those too. Fortunately, I had a backup fourth set...

You gotta go next year. RM and Gooding and Company always have awesome cars.

    Here are two more.
