That's the way I feel about the 328 (or the GT4) engines -- just beautiful -- until I have to change the spark plugs on the front bank!!!

you can't tell its glass, at the fca national the judges were looking for a glass car to judge and they walked right by it. When they returned they said they were expecting a wave filled body.

Whatever happened to that particular show car? Does it still exist, or was it destroyed later by the factory?

Its amazing for me to think tha I was not even born when that car was created. But I love the design, it just works. When i see one (not too often) it immediately makes me smile. Personally, I dont care about the performance; the car still looks better than 90% of new vehicles out there. Just my 2 cents.

I'm not sure, Tillman. The GTS show car is pictured here in the Factory's back lot a couple of years later...

"how many of the cars that you've owned did you just enjoy laying under and looking up?"

    None...including the 328! ;)

No doubt the design is aging well. It just makes me think Ferrari when I see a 3x8. Classic beauty indeed...

It was very good quality. Most of the rotten reputation of fiberglass came about from another well known car built in the stuff that had a justly deserved reputation for being, lets just say "of less than stellar quality" . It is the reason so many potential 308 buyers stayed away until steel cars were available.

I agree that the 328 / 308 series is the definitive Ferrari. Considering that it is a late 60's design made in the early 70's..... amazing that it looks so good today.

The 288 GTO IS the uber 308 ... it jsut looks so right.

the new cars are so big, and frankly so useable that they dont seem special... that being said the 355 and 458 are spectacular too!!!

I think the GT4 has aged better than the 308 GTB.

The GTB was stunning new and is stunning now.

However, the GT4 was considered a dissapointment by some when new. I think the general opinion of this design is that it has improved with age.

I think there are some 'Ferrari snobs' who wouldn't have owned a GT4 20 years ago, but who could quite happily live with one now.

Somehow the GT4 has come into it's own. It has 'street cred'

The 308/288/328 is such a radical style that defines a Ferrari era which captured my soul. The style is timeless and improving with age.
