no one was hurt... just lost control going to fast on the on ramp and hit the rail from what I was told. Also, new Audi R8 Spider at Brian Harris in B.R. Image Unavailable, Please Login
In regards to the Black Lamborghini Gallardo that wrecked on the Denham Springs on ramp I watched all of this unfold directly behind me. I turned onto the on ramp and just as I was about to reach the interstate I heard a loud whine. At first I thought it was a motorcycle. As I turned over my right shoulder to look, I see a black blur veer off to the right side of the ramp. At that moment time slowed down and I recognized that it was a Lambo. I had not seen it before I turned onto the ramp so wasnt expecting the sight. As I focused in on what was happening, I watched in horror as the car plowed head first into a 4 or 5 foot tall pile of dirt and debris. This sent the car airborne and my instant thought was of the Transformers as pieces of Lamborghini started flying in all directions. Then the car veered back into the traffic lanes and collided with the median barrier, yet again littering the interstate with more Lambo debris. The car bounced and then veered back off of the interstate into the right of way. I was expecting to see more info on the news or in the newspaper but this is the only place I've seen it mentioned. There were multiple cars stopped behind the accident looking to help the guy. All that I can surmise is that the guy driving was weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of acceleration and lost traction due to an abrupt steering maneuver and by the time he gained traction he was heading in the wrong direction. The loud whine occurred just before he headed towards the dirt pile, so I assume he was sideways at that point.
Wow that sounds horrible. It's actually a good thing it didn't make the news. Only the worst injuries/fatalities make the media's radar. So hopefully that means the driver (and any others involved) are just fine, if not bruised up a bit. I haven't been out that way in a while...what pile of debris was so close to the interstate? Are they doing construction out there (again) ? Glad you didn't get caught up in it Isit430! Sounds like you were pretty close. My guess, which is always the same guess...he had his traction control disabled. The TCS in the Lambo is pretty solid. And our cars are AWD. The combination therein SHOULD make stunts like this challenging to execute, but so many people turn them off thinking it will give them access to more speed. I could be wrong.
Always! lol That area is always getting torn up for one thing or another. I drive through there once a year or so on average and it's always something.
While both of these may be true, it doesn't seem right to speculate when there is no real idea what happened or why...
I spotted something today but I'm not sure what exactly it was. Maybe a Lotus? It was white with some blue and yellow on it I think and zoomed right in front of me too quick to look closely right around Lee Circle.
I was at mile marker 168 on I-10W, opposite your lane. We might have been near the Bayou Water Park by the Interstate. I was in an Orange first-gen Lambo Murcielago. Your car is amazing looking! First Saleen I've seen on the road. Glad to see it out and about! Enjoy it!

Saw a red Testatossa in Lafayette at the Auto Zone on Johnston street, I think it was on Thursday last week. I was in the Murci but had to be somewhere and couldnt stop.
Saw a (the) orange Murci crawling along in stand-still traffic on Nicholson Saturday. It didn't look happy to be there
