Thats the one from this area. The owner used to keep it downtown. Tom Tanner/Ferrari Expo 2011-Chicago March 19th 2011
Is someone have a color pic of the 212 Inter winner in 1951 (N°34) ? It's very difficult to know what colors have this car ? Thanks you !
Well I know BBR painted it a dark red with a silver top. They seem to be pretty close with color choice on the Ferrari's. I have not seen a good color photo of the car at the Carrera. Maybe in some of the video coverage for the upcoming new series by Stephan Mitchell you will find a color shot of the car. We will have to wait until early summer. Thank you for that information Tom. Please remind us again when this new series comes out. I will be one of the interested.
Just as exciting is 0267EU. Rarely does an all original "barn find" come along anymore. This is a rare oportunity for a dedicated collecter with deep pockets to undertake an exceptional project. I wish I could be the one. just one man's opinion tongascrew

With all the new books/videos and decals coming out for the original Carrera Panamericana I have decided to continue the Carrera Panamericana Ferrari Expo model contest theme for 2012. Hopefully some of the models that were not finished this year can be in the contest in 2012. I am working on the 1952 and 1954 winners in 1/24th scale and I know Kaz is still doing the 1954 250 Monza Hotel Prado car in 1/43rd. By then I hope to have 2 more decal sheets for the PAN AM done. Fisher should also have his 750 Monza kit done with PAN AM decals Joe the amazing 1/43rd Bosica builder from New Jersey is also working on a PAN AM Porsche. 2011 Ferrari Expo link: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1055573&page=3 Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferrari Expo 2012-Chicago March 2012

Very nice Lancia model...well done!! Its great to be able to build that car in 1/24th scale now. Those decals look better than I thought they would. Now we need the 1951 Pan Am and Mille Miglia low roof cars decals. Did you have to scratchbuild the wheels? Thank you Airtrax and Pattos Place, and keep them coming. Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferrari Expo 2012-Chicago March 2012
I have a miniature lathe and turned the center out of the wheel supplied by Airtrax, then turned a center part for it and using a rotary table, positioned the center and drilled for the wheel nuts and marked positions for the ribs, which I made of 1/2 round Evergreen pieces. Glued that into the wheel rim and cast it. Tapani has my master so if you want Lancia wheels ask him. He also has my master of the oval headlight buckets of the Aurelia series two. Patto's decals are excellent, ZoomZoom and I put them on and he took images. I will be writing a tutorial about them on the ACME website. (Atlanta Car Model Enthusiasts)
Good information. Here are some photos I have collected of 1/43rd Carrera Panamericana models. Also a rare photo of the #4 Ferrari from 1954 and photos of the Lancia 1951 and 1952 B20's. The 375 is a J.B. build in 1/43rd!! More photos of number #4 would be most welcome. Revell is doing the 1950 Carrera Panamericana winning Old's car #52 city of roses with decals printed in Italy!. As you can see the Pattos Place decals are not 100% correct in the rear(car #26 3rd from the bottom). Not really your fault. Your model looks great. Pattos place missed a few small details but they still did a very nice decal. PAN AM pictures are hard to find. I think alot more will come out in the next few years as more videos and books become available.
