and

of
visionary

and
entrepreneur
Enzo
Ferrari
from
6:00
to
9:00
pm.

 Born
on
February
18,
1898,
in
Modena,
Italy,
Enzo
Ferrari
grew
up
with
little
formal
education
but
a
strong
 desire
to
race
cars.
As
a
young
man
working
for
Alfa
Romeo,
he
developed
his
driving
skills
and
created
his
 own
 racing
 team,
 Scuderia
 Ferrari,
 which
 took
 the
 Formula
 1
 racing
 world
 by
 storm.
 Like
 most
 restless
 entrepreneurs,
Ferrari
grew
frustrated
with
his
limited
role
at
Alfa
Romeo
and,
in
1946,
launched
a
company
 and
 a
 car
 that
 bore
 his
 name
 and
 thrived
 on
 his
 passion.
 From
 inception
 the
 company
 was
 special,
 winning
 international
 races
 in
 the
 1950’s
 and
 producing
 limited
 production
 sportscars
 that
 remained
 the
 envy
 of
 the
 automotive
 industry
 worldwide.

 Often
 referred
 to
 as
 “il
 Commendatore”
 (or
 “Knight
 Commander”,
 a
 title
 given
to
the
Italian
Order
of
Merit),
Enzo
remained
dedicated
to
design
excellence
and
racing
until
his
death
in
 1988.
 In
 2002
 the
 company
 honored
 its
 founder
 with
 a
 namesake
 12
 cylinder
 engineering
 marvel.
 Only
 400
 Enzo
Ferrari
cars
were
made.
The
cars
regularly
command
stratospheric
prices
which
exceed
$1,200,000
and
 can
reach
a
top
speed
of
217
miles
per
hour.

 Enzo
 Ferrari
 not
 only
 harnessed
 the
 power
 of
 beautiful
 design
 to

 that
 remains

Yeah, what is up with this? Would have been nice to hear about it before the day OF the event. Might have tried to come. Did anyone see anything about this earlier here? I saw this post and had this emailed to me by a friend today. First I'd heard of it.

Kelly, Why the short notice? Did you bring your 308? I guess I will just have to celebrate April 2, (Walter P. Chrysler's birthday) now that the GTX is finished!

Frank and I both sent in an e-mail list on Thursday, the 10th before the event. I know the e-mail went out on the 16th, Wednesday. We had about 10 cars show up.

    Kelly

I'll be there April 2nd if you have a nice cake.

Yes, I usually get all the FCA LA chapter and drive emails from Frank and Donnie, but didn’t hear about this one until the day of. Funny thing was a drug rep sent it to me as he thought I might be interested, not from anyone here! LOL!
