It's a bad ad. No mention of the car's history in terms of number of owners, previous location or service history. So someone suspicious like me is going to assume that there is something to hide. And other than the comment about no sticky parts, there's no indication that the owner is especially knowledgeable about Ferraris.

It does say 3 owners, but no history, nothing a good PPI couldn't tell you and at 6k for a service not a bad deal, Its an early car.

Yes, my thoughts exactly. I am selling my 308 ... listed on ebay now ... looking for a 348. It looks like I could sell my 308 and buy a 348 with no extra cash needed (just service) .... interesting. I'll have to check it out.

I agree: bad listing. The seller's description says the car hasn't had any paint work, but anyone who knows these cars knows that the early 348s were painted black around the lower band. The miles aren't helping to boost the price, either. Even so, a 348 for less than $30k? Not bad IMO...

Yes, the listing is crap.... but if I were in the market, I would be all over this car!

I could buy this car, do a major, add ALL the upgrades I have done to mine.... and have spent LESS than just what I paid for my car in 07! And this one has 15K less miles on it than mine did when I bought it! Of course my car is 2 years newer than this one... but still!!

I'm selling my 348 and debating whether to list on ebay or not -- I kind of don't want to deal with people just wasting time. Let us know how that works out for you.

BTW, my 348 is for sale and price is negotiable if you are interested:

Congrates on your sale. Now the the next chapter begins, you should look into a 355 as these prices are low as well. Keep us posted on your hunt.

well my son what me to get a 360 spider, I am not sure I want to go that far. I really had fun with the 348 and the 355 are a bit scary with all the issues with the tranny and engine.

If you want to sell it, advertise it everywhere.
I know a lot of people that found their buyer on ebay. I think it's $40. It's worth it
I search it first because it is fast and easy.

That car was being given away at $29K. I have found that ebay doesn't usually make the sale. It is just part of a marketing plan.

I'm thinking of moving up from my 308 to a 348 and this car caught my eye because I'll be down in that area for several weeks and the price...

I did however have the thought today that it might be easier to sell at a little higher price as strange as that sounds. I think a deeply discounted car often implies "issues" to some people and they shy away without thinking.
