On cold start the exhaust blower has a squeal or whistle ,it has always done this, is this normal, it will usually stop after about 8 minutes or so I guess a timer or thermostat shuts it off, does anyone else have this whistle or do I need to start looking for an issue

Mine makes a slight .... whirring sound ...... that is barely audible over the engine ...... I know it works because I can feel the air being sucked into the plastic turbine ..... when I put my hand over the inlet filter ..... :)

Also, If you have a 355 and have never heard the pump come on, most likely you have a blown fuse.

They usually blow the fuse when they fail from high amp draw and is very, very common.
And it will also give you a check engine lamp.

    Regards, Jim
