I got my poliamide tubing from Cohline UK it is about £2:50 per metre.
The jig from Verell does not work on the Testarossa without a little modification.
Some of the Testa parts bend as soon as they exit the ferrule / spigot (spikey bit ) so a little filing is needed first.
However, I am sure that Verell can make the jig specifically for the Testa.

just to confirm, written on the pipe: COHLINE-3010..3106-MADE IN GERMANY-DIN 73378-6X1.1275-PA12- HIPHL-23-03-04
When i talked the Cohline rep he only needed the first two numbers (3010..3106) to know what I wanted. I think the 6X1 bit is the diameter and wall thickness.

I can supply the line. In fact I've been wanting to be able to offer a Testarossa K-jet fuel line kit to round out my catalog.

I stock the Cohline line sizes that Ferrari used for all their cars. Usually I have 15 to 30 meters of each line size on hand.

I also put up line kits for just about every injected Ferrari except the Testarossa. If someone would kindly send me a list of the line sizes, & total length of each size I'll put together a Testarosa kit & add it to my catalog. See:

I also stock most of the banjo & swivel nut fasteners for the Ferrari K-jet systems. I can supply parts to repair the injector line swivel nut fasteners & tubing barbs.

I'm an official Cohline distributor, and can usually get small quantities (1 - 16 or so) pieces of any of their their catalog fittings airmailed from Germany in a couple of weeks for an extra $11.00 airmail fee.

 

Deciphered:
3011.3106 - Cohline's Part number this really all you need.
DIN 77378 - DIN standard for polyamid fuel line.
6x1.1275 - DIN standard dimensions: 6mm OD, 1.1275 minimum wall thickness.
PA12 - Material: Polyamide12 aka Nylon12

HIPHL-23-09/04 I"m not sure what the HIPHL means, but the last is clearly a mm/yy date code.

 

verell do you have the toll to fit the plastick lines over the metal lines+ price for a 86 TR? i do have a set that i order from you in the past for my 308 gtsi i never used it if the kit for the 308 is good i just may need some more line to make up for the 12 sylinder motor.

 

I make the barb insertion tools to order, and can supply a Testarossa version that handles the immediate 90 degree bends. The tools are $95 each + $11.90 S&I. That S&I will cover a reasonable amount of fuel line as well.

Your 308 kit has 4 meters of the 3011.3106 line. After looking at the pictures posted earlier in this thread, you may find that is plenty for the Testarossa.

The 308 kit has 1 meter of the 3011.0305 (5mm OD/3mm ID) line that someone mentioned, and 2 meters of the larger 3011.0608 (8mm OD/6mm ID) line used for the fuel distributor inlet & return lines, & between the accumulator & filter on the 308. I can also supply the SS braid covered 8mm OD line, & the sleeves to keep the braid's ends from fraying.

Verell -- Can you confirm that the Cohline 3011..3106 has an ACTUAL wall thickness closer to 1.4 mm (which matches the Cohline catalog data), and, because this meets the MINIMUM wall thickness of the DIN spec, they label the tubing 6x1.1275?

 

there are some 45 + 90 degree bends so you say that i will need (2) tools to finish the work?

 

Just 1 tool, it will handle straight & bends up to 90 degrees.

I measured a sample of the 3011.3106 Cohline. Wall thickness was 1.43 to 1.44 mm.
Called Cohline USA about the 6x1.275 marking. The local technical expert didn't know, question had never come up before. He is contacting CohlnieGMBH in Germany.

 

Thanks Verell -- you've kindly already exceeded my request (but I never mind getting even more good information ).

 

Got word back from Cohline tech support confirming:
6x1.1275 - DIN standard dimensions: 6mm OD, 1.1275 minimum wall thickness.

Obviously the Cohline wall thickness exceeds the min requirements by a substantial amount.

Reviving this thread.....what special instructions or preparation were required to educate the electroplaters to only provide plating on the OUTSIDE of the fuel lines, and prevent cladding build-up on the interior of the lines? Were there any special prep involved prior to having the tubes plated?

 

Plating will ONLY work on the outside of the pipes.

The plater washed the insides and then blew them clear with air.

I did the same when I got them hope and so far no trouble

I take it you left it up to the plater to 'plug' the tubes, or did you fabricate something before dropping them off? Were your tubes media-blasted prior to plating? What prep did you perform?

No they were not plugged.

I used a small dremmel brass wire brush and where appropriate a little wire wool.

The plater first de-plates anything that already on the metal before starting the re-platinging process.

As long as the pipes are cleaned and "blown" after plating then all should be well.

I cleaned with carb cleaner first followed by a degreaser followed by isopropyl alcohol followed by airline.

3016 designates the size (ID & OD)

I just got this info direct from Cohline via a phone conversation. They asked me what specific part # I was looking for and upon rattling off numbers....

COHLINE-3011..3106 MADE IN GERMANY-DIN 73378-6X1.1275-PA12-HIPHL-23-09/04

....they cut me off at Made in Germany, and said that's all we need, 3011..3016!

So now we have some clue as to what we are looking for!!
