So as the 308 brakes are, at best, like uhhh... 30 year old brakes I decided to upgrade my trackcar brakesystem After giving it quite some though I ended up with a set containing: Disks from the Super performance upgrade set on front and rear calipers from a 360 with brackets which I designed for this conversion. Also front and rear. A new mastercilinder ( Fiat ducato Van, which has a slightly larger diameter but is identical in lay-out, but can be bought for around us$70) a proportioning valve a hydraulic handbrake to avoid a second seperate handbrake caliper on the rear. (Over here this is allowed by law.) I will replace the stock pads for EBC yellowstuff and use ATE racing blue for oil. So, now I have some real brakes! PS I obviously will replace the metrics wheels... Neat !! I've also been looking at SF discs ? Did you use there center bell/ tophat as well ? Do you know what the Brembo part number is for that caliper ? Well done on finding the mastercylinder !!!Could you have kept the old caliper just for the handbrake ? Keep us posted on how they work ?
Thanx guys, the credit for finding the master cilinder is all for Bert308. He mentionned it somewhere in his gtb to gto thread. I don't know the brembo number for the disks. I ordered both disks and hats from Super performance The handbrake has his own cilinder ( but I kept the orignal master as it was in good working order, but replacing after 32 years seems apropriate
