A very good book - I don't know if it's 'exhaustive' - is "Targa Florio; 20th Century Epic" by Pino Fondi. 480 pages ! so plenty of photos and a large results section. Nathan
I just received Klemantaski & Ferrari from V12 Books in Germany. This just about completes my own idea of the essential Ferrari book collection. Two (the "Red Book" and 250 Sperimentale) of the still-missing are so spendy that I may never get them! Jack.
Fantastic. I love pages 16 & 17. What is the red book? Also. Winged Sports Cars and Enduring Innovation by János Wimpffen has some great Ferrari material: http://www.bullpublishing.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=78 Can't recommend this enough. It's a picture book with decidedly long captions in a large format. He also gives some of the smaller classes the attention they deserve.
Matt, Nathan is referring to this book: It has all results inn it and has been published for "100 years Targa Florio". Just a few pictures to give you an impression. Book is sought after and sometimes booktraders ask huge amounts of money for it. I've bought mine 2 years ago for the normal retailprice. . I think Jack is talking about the Enzo Ferrari written book. A very nice picturebook with only Italian text. Highly collectable and sought after book. @jack , Marcus has one for sale for a fair amount of money... . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Nathan, I think this is just the book I'm looking for - now to find one at a reasonable price. So far I've seen some copies for around $250, which doesn't seem too bad for 400 page book. Thanks Maarten for the photos. Is your copy in English, or multi-lingual? As I've seen some copies with a French dust jacket too, that can be found quite a lot cheaper than the English dust jacket version. But maybe they are printed in separate languages. Cheers Matt
The Targa Florio by David Owens is a nice fairly detailed book that I think can ge gotten for a reasonable price. just one man's opinion tongascrew
My copy is in English. I know it was published in Italian or English for sure but maybe also in other languages too. Don't know about that. Regarding price , look around and search a bit for it. Must be possible to get a copy against a fair amount of money. Maarten
I believe the "Big Red Book" is considered the yearbook from 1974, although it is not officially so. It is sought after because Enzo himself was responsible for the content. Nathan or Maarten may correct me if I am mistaken. I have all of the Wimpffen books and am considering selling them as a set, should anyone have an interest. Jack
If you can find another one and flag it to me that would be great....very expensive??? Are you interested in that signed R&T PHil Hill photo in the other thread?
The red book (or plain "Ferrari") was if i'm correct never intended as a yearbook. It's more of a compilation of the books "Le Briglie del Successo" and "Le mie gioie terribili". It tells the story in pictures and words of Ferrari starting as a racingdriver to the point where the company was in 1974 (when the "Red book" was published) It covers the subject Enzo as racingdriver , Alfa/SF to Ferrari Automobili. Ferrari's last yearbook was published in 1970 (for 1968,1969 and 1970) untill in 1989 the new series came out. All other yearbooks are thirdparty issues. Only the 1975 edition came out as an "Official" Ferrari publication. This is the one with the yellow cover.
Bubba, Which one are you looking for? I might know some for sale. Maarten Image Unavailable, Please Login

Thanks Tonga, I'll have to check this one out too. I think I've managed to track down the limited edition copy of Targa Florio; 20th Century Epic, for less than what the standard editions are going for. I'll post some details when it arrives. Cheers Matt
