Red Barchetta with CF trim, etc. Looks pretty good except... Found on E-Bay Taz Terry Phillips Image Unavailable, Please Login
Without being sexist, it evokes a similar emotion to med school photos of polymastia... just not meant to be!
No man! Total over kill. Never liked those wheels either. 575 wheels or standard 550 wheels (but an inch larger) would look perfect. Or novitec's.
Bas- Those are the OEM wheels and on something as rare as a Barchetta, I would want the stock wheels. I think they look good on both the Barchetta and 550. Taz Terry Phillips
I love the Barchetta wheels. They were an option on the 550 but mine did come with them so I bought a set. A 550 in black with the shields and Barchetta wheels creates an Italian Muscle Car look. The slight bit of extra rubber (18) compared to 575 modular wheels (19) adds to that look. Dont get me wrong, I also like the 575 modular wheels but the look is quite different. I might prefer the 575 modular wheels on any car that was not black. Phil
This car has been on and off ebay for a while- I only know because I of course recall the hot rod pipes- reminds me of Herman Munster's car more than a road ferrari He may realize they are the OEM rims but just be commenting on them...I don't like them either or the modular wheels that were optional on the 360 which these remind me of. If it were my car I would certainly not get rid of the OEM Barchetta rims- I might put stock 550 or 575 rims on the car, but would definitely keep the OEM rims to have the option to keep her 100% stock. I love the Barchetta otherwise (with 4 tail pipes please ) OK, if I'm being picky I also wish they lowerd the rollover hoops- they look too high to my eye...
Bas, I was being sarcastic! If there was anything that should never have been done, it was that 6 pipe exhaust set-up.
Ron- Would have to be 12 instead of 10. People might mistake it for a Viper with 10 tailpipes. Taz Terry Phillips
Mark- Could be a lot worse. People spent a lot of money getting rid of the mods Koenig did to Boxers and other cars. Some of those were really nasty looking. Taz Terry Phillips Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Buxton- The Maranellos, including the Barchetta, are about the same size as a late Porsche 911 or C5/6 Corvette. Now this is a big car, and it still looks good in red or yellow. Taz Terry Phillips Image Unavailable, Please Login
