The piece that attaches to the top gave up (clamping holes opened up), is there a replacement available short of buying an entire assembly? Thanks for the help.

Stephane, check with Ron Frohock (Mondial top latches).

So - - just how tight was your top?? :):)

    Best,

    Hank

I have in the past machined new pieces for the Mondial top latch. If you can't find one, let me know, as I am sure I can fix it.

    +1

It took me 1 hr with a scrap piece of steel, a drill press and a grinder to replace the broken part. Definitely not rocket surgery.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I think I will go with the machining route. I'll ask a friend of mine, if not, I am coming to you Wade.
Ron Frohock has a great replacement to the other important part of this toggle but not the part in question.
Hank, I bought this Mondial with plans on flipping it for profit, but it is seriously growing on me. Never had a cabriolet before, all 7 were coupes! Aside from the top issue, seems like a seriously fun toy to have around, I may end up keeping this one longer than I had planned. Now I see why the cabs get such good feedbacks. ;)
