I found this video on the internet and thought I would share it, I personally own the K40 RL360 upgraded from the Passport 9500ci.

This video did not help me. Maybe I'm not paying enough attention. That wouldn't surprise anyone, mind you.

I have had 2 V1s stolen. I just bought a third. The same fate will not befall #3.

V1 for me as well... I like taking my "D.I.D" (Diplomatic Immunity Device) with me into any car I drive. It's not limited by being harwired into a specific vehicle.

    I use a V-1, and have a question / concern.

On more than one occasion I have seen and passed a cop who seemed to be actively using and pointing a handheld device, but the V-1 didn't register a threat.

Are there any bands that the cops use now that it will not pick up?

Mr. V, My guess is that the officer is using a laser, but not "hitting" your particular vehicle with the beam. I also utilize a V1, and unless the laser beam is directed pretty much right at my vehicle the V1 will not alarm.
There is no defense against laser (except the so-called "blinding devices") - they are instantaneous and deadly. Anytime I pick up laser on my V1 I kind of freak out but consider myself real lucky to even get the alarm.

That's a bit unusual. I have picked up laser many times from a position ahead of me with the V1.

If you have a new device, it will detect everything used now. You can upgrade an older one also.

The video displays the New K40 RL360 which I am now a proud owner of detecting Ka Band before the V1. Guys the V1 is so old and not even close to comparison of the new radars today like the K40 or the Escort/Passport. I owned the Passport and swapped it out when K40 came out with there new RL360. For me I will always go with a hidden radar versus a dashmount that I can move from car to car. No need when I drive fast I drive a Ferrari. Dasmount radars are for Honda's ....LOL
