Ebay 110647951611 Sure it's a good one, if one of these could ever be called "good". They were rubbish when new. My dad had the estate version and it was absolute pony and trap. £5,000 though..... and that's the starting price. It seems that every old nail from the 1970's is suddenly worth a fortune.
If they have the MGB engine and least they are reliable, but if they have the overhead cam engine ... absolute rubbish. Pete
Maybe Top Gear bought it to crush another one. I think they should crush one each season its always funny, as is the rolling over of a Reliant Robin.
Slight correction: It seems that every old nail from the 1970's is suddenly ASKING a fortune. You can't polish a turd.
Yes, well corrected. I bet somebody will buy it though. Top Gear should buy it, and do a sort of apology piece on the Marina, commenting that they have probably the best one in the world.....and then while they are stood in front of it talking the handbrake fails and it rolls off the cliff that they happened to be standing in front of.
Ooo goody! Hoping it sells for a lot! That way the few rust free survivors in Australia can be sent back to the UK for a huge profit, keeping Australia beautiful. A big-block Marina Red-Six would be a real curio to the Marina tifosi.
Auction ended with 0 bids, no surprise really. I had a 1.3L, my first car, BRO 607K. Rust bucket, ran ok though.
