    +1000. Exactly!!!

In real estate its "location, location, location"

In racing its "chassis, chassis, chassis"

(also one of the main reasons Webber is probably biting his tongue and toeing the company line... he knows how precious his top-line drive is after years in mediocre equipment and is not about to jeapardize it unnecessarily if he can help it- even though emotions can sometimes get to the best of us- aka "not bad for a number two driver")

Take your blinders off, the way Vettel handled things when they didn't go his way in 2010 was way behind any of the other drivers on the grid as far as maturity goes.

Which is why he won it all in the end?

That may come with age. I doubt he could have won the WDC without such a dominant car at this stage in his personal development.

Even Lewis is still making mistakes. In this age group, this is an area in which Rosberg shines (apart from being fast). Too bad he can't fall into a wdc car.

Or one that hasn't been turned into a F1 Zimmer frame to suit some old coot ;)

After all of the chances he had to clinch it? Half of racing is luck, don't kid yourself. As VISZLA said he most likely would not have won if the RB wasn't so dominant.

Contract deals like these might throw a wrench in Hamilton's plans for 12-15 WDCs.

I think that Newey likes the atmosphere at Red Bull and doesn't want to move.

I has said that he is very happy there, just like when he was a Footwork, because he has complete freedom.

I suppose that at Williams Patrick Head was always checking on him, and at McLaren, Ron Dennis is known to be quite authoritarian with his employees.

At least at Red Bull, Christian Horner doesn't seem to have a big head.

    What's not to like?
Lots of money, freedom to design what he likes and championships.

Nothing last forever though and the test of a team is how it handles the tough seasons. We shall see how long this "family" hangs together.

Adrian Newey seems to have a long productive life as a designer.

After several years, most famous designers move to a management role in the teams (Brawn, Head), are given different responsabilities (road cars for Murray) or move out of the industry altogether.

But Newey is still very productive in F1.

I wasn't suggesting that he'd give up designing but that the RB team may not remain intact if the winning stops.

Well, everything comes to an end, so Red Bull will go through that cycle as well, and become 'also ran' at some point

Look at Williams now compared to what it was! Renault?

I don't expect Red Bull which was created purely as an advertising tool to last for ever either. The bean counters will put a stop to it like they did at Benetton.

Only Ferrari regenerates all the time, even after years in the doldrums, because motor racing is in the genes of this unique company.

And a little shop in Woking whose name escapes me at the moment.
