    This thread has made reference to Holcombe Direct. I tried to order the new regulator and rectifier to see if they would mail it to the UK. All I can say is what a terrible company they are. Thoroughly disgusted by their attitude and attrocious service. I have had 2 emails from them as follows;

    Email 1. Part is not available through us.
    Email 2. PART NOT AVAILABLE THROUGH US.

    These were the only words in the emails. No 'dear sir', or 'thanks for your enquiry'.

    The frustrating thing is that the parts I am after are listed on their website.

    Holcombe Direct are obviously a cowboy outfit. Disgusting service. If they are this bad when trying to give them business, image how bad they must be when you have a problem with a part they have supplied to you! Do not even think about giving them your business!!!

    Oh, bother.

    Translation of e-mails: 1) We do not have that part. 2) We told you once, we do not have that part.

    Not sure how you do business in the USofA but in the UK good customer service is essential. Being polite is just good mannners. The one line statement could almost be an automatic reply.

    I was of the opinion that in America standards were high...hence all the adverts about Americans bein the most demanding customers in the world. This experience does not support that.

    If this is the entire email, and you are telling us the entire story (and not hiding anything), then I would agree that is a ill-mannered.

    That is the entire email - honestly. I sent them an email quoting their part numbers and asking if they would mail it to the UK, and that was the only response I got. I then questioned it asking what part wasn't available and I got the statement in capitals!!

    Considering the difficult financial situation I am gobsmacked by this attitude!
