it's dark tan/tobacco. per their website they're asking $159k. my guess is the starting bid on ebay ($132k) is probably close to what they paid.

Figures, well next page there is a prospect... 2008 Black/Black 5,700 miles Coupe 6-speed, buy it now for 149k - See what I'm saying with the price differences?

The going price now adays is about 149 for a good coupe. It could be a little more, it could be a little less. Don't worry about small price differences. It's insignificant in the grand scheme. Newer models are a little higher because all cars after 2007 model year came with Carbon Ceramic brakes (its a rare $18 grand option from 2005-7). F1 boxes were a 10 grand option but now adays the 6 speeds sell for the same prices as F1's. Daytona powered seats were the most highly selected option along with different wheels, carbon fibre parts, and stereo upgrades. All these can chance the price. Less than 10% of all F430's were sold as 6 speed manuals so they are harder to find.

You have to remember each one was spec'd to order. Each customer ordered it they way they wanted. So, there is no "standard" as virtually no one bought one without any options. And, they all had to choose their color combo.

Like I said before, find one you like, have it checked out, and then buy the one you want. Don't let a good car get away for a few grand. I guarantee you'll spend more than that on it in a few weeks anyway.

At 23 I'm sure you do.

Just wait till 43 and you'll realize how dumb you've become in the last 2 decades.

bdelp just gave you excellent advice above this post. Read it twice if needed. Good Luck.

Edit: Don't get CCBs. And if you don't know why, that proves my point you should spend a few nights reading.

If you're such a know-it-all, why are you here asking for advice? Surely you already know what it is you're supposed to do.

LOL! The man has spoken - heed his sagely words.

I'm 28 now and don't mind admitting that 23 year old me wasn't as smart as he thought he was.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Good cliff notes post by bdelp. PPI (pre-purchase inspection) is very important when looking nationwide and kicking tires. If you find a car in a certain region, look to the local regional thread to ask about a PPI referral. A huge community here and more information than you can image. I'd be willing to guess the more time you spent here reading the more and more you'd refine what exactly you're searching for. So dig in...

bdelp, much appreciated brother, great reference and makes a lot of sense thanks for contributing.

lol As for the rest of the comments thanks they are realistic, but with time comes situational experiences which yes, obviously comes with age ( to a certain extent ). I also can relate to a few because by 18 I thought I was the sh*t, until now... Now I'm the sh*t, FOR REAL! lol

If you want a Ferrari make sure you want it for the right reasons, I would suggest starting with researching Ferrari history. It's very rich in history and fascinating. Otherwise there is plenty of cheap Audis and lamos right :p

    I know

Yeah most definitely I have read about Enzo Ferrari and this is the main reason I would like a Ferrari, is because from what I understand Ferrari transits a lot of the same technology used in their race cars! To continue, I will be joining an awesome club that is not but 45 min away from me and learn how to drive this by professionals http://www.autobahncc.com/ So yes I am aware how Ferrari is a proven racing team that would not sacrifice it's core characteristics for additional sales as they do not need to because anyone who owns a Ferrari understands that Ferrari's past/present/future revolves around racing innovation and your not only buying a Ferrari, but also contributing to Ferrari and the awesome team behind it!

Very cool. I have been trying to get my uncle to team up with me for a trip down there to Joliett with his F-cars. Lives up north in Cary. His mechanics son is a race instructor there.

Well when I become a member I will bring my Ferrari friends, I think you can bring up to 3 people @ a time but I'm sure they would make an exception if I told them I have some friends with Ferrari's and race cars looking to check out the club. I actually am eager to learn and don't care if I get passed by a 4 door sedan with my Ferrari they will stereotype but, I will be awesome in no time.

You will find a lot of idiots in just about every car imaginable will want to race you. Esp kids about your age.

Dont do it. Nothing ruins your life like a street racing charge. And a Ferrari is going to stick out like a sore thumb!

Hey thanks for looking out. Yeah but I am not really to worried about it, I don't give into pressure, plus I have been racing @ the track since I was 17 ( drag racing, US41/RT66 etc ) so I don't have too much of an urge to prove I have the fastest car in the world as I would get dumped on by a Chevrolet Vega

You have a lot of responses - all very valid. Bottom line is if cost is not option then what is driving you to a 430? If, indeed you just simply really like the 430s and (like me) only want a manual (which rules out 458s, Scuderias and I think 16Ms) then I would think you are looking at somewhere in the $170 - $200K range depending on options. Daytona seats, carbon ceramic brakes, badges, spider/berlinetta, etc. etc. all make a big difference. I saw an absolutely flawless, one-owner Giallo 430 Berlinetta, 6-speed, normal brakes, normal seats, badges, full Tubi for $180K at Ferrari Fort Lauderdale last August.

6-Speeds are hard to find but worth it IMHO and most manuals never saw rental duty.

    Good luck :)
