It's time to put your reputation where your keyboard is. The battle's about to start for the first time this year. Before the first practice, it's time to put up your predictions on what's going to happen (and no, I don't mean who will be in last place!) Teams and drivers.... OK-- GO!
Come, on guys! No love for the Scuderia on a Ferrari site? 1 Alonso 2 Vettel 3 Schumi Heidfeld in the Lotus Renault might surprise if all the hype behind their forward exhaust isn't just a bunch of hot air.
haha. I hear you, but this forum is filled with realistic Ferrari fans. I don't think Ferrari will be much off of RB, maybe a tenth or so. I mean, have you seen RB's long stint times during practice? They were *really* fast !
Red Bull will be the fastest. Ferrari, followed by MB will be next fastest. McLaren will be fighting with MB, maybe Ferrari. Tires will determine the victors. Drivers like Button, Schumacher will likely have an advantage on tires. As for intra-team fights. . . Vettel will have the upper hand on Webber. Alonso will reign supreme over his vassal Massa not because of Massa's skill, but because of Ferrari. Nico and MS will be neck and neck but MS will have worse luck. Hamilton will be faster than Button, but Button may be able to get by with one less stop (on the extreme end).
Oooh, speaking of tires. I've been hearing Pirellis rubber will have short life spans requiring more pit stops. So I'll put my bets on the team with the best pit crews. That would hands down be... let me get back toy ou on that one
+1 I am right there with you. Finish will be: Webber Alonso Vettel Schu Massa Rosberg Heidfeld Hamilton Barichello Button
Qualifying= Vettel Alonso Schumacher Rosberg Webber Hamilton Massa Button Race = Schumacher Alonso Rosberg Vettel...
For qualy: Vettel Webber Alonso Schumacher For the race Alonso Vettel Massa Webber Oh, and HRT will be DNS (107 rule will kick them out).
You only have half love. Where is Massa Race will be(maybe ) 1 Webber 2 Alonso 3 Massa 4 Schumie Actually top 3 in any order will make my day Vettel will be in the pits still whining about too many buttons on the steering wheel.
First race will be about dry tire management which plays to experiance and patience. That and the car of course. Webber. Alonso. Button.
Many things will be answered on Sunday. And many doubts unfolded... Will Red Bull's speed be enough? Will Alonso be back for a revenge? Will Mercedes and McLaren have the pace to threaten Red Bull and Ferrari on top? And it looks that like some drivers think that the race will become more important than the qualifying. http://www.autoviva.com/news/race_to_be_more_important_than_qualifying_in_2011/1070
It doesn't get much better than being woken up in the morning by a single F1 car doing laps of Albert Park.
