Seems about right (i.e., very, unreasonably priced), and can be repaired for installation.

Superformance may have this without the need for metal-fab work.

Seriously? A crumpled piece of sheet metal for $900? It's like the guy who was selling a used thermostat a while back.

That looks like the piece I chopped off and hung in the garage, the other day......I thought it was 'still there"....:(

FerrParts sent me the whole front edge repair panel for $600.....

    I won't be needing "that"........

You don't want to use that one...

The rain trough/weep holes at the front of the hood is a notorious "rusty spot" where they drilled the holes after assembly, and did not repaint.

    Go look at yours.

A good spot to 'corrosion check' a car actually.

They should throw that on into the Scrap Dumpster.

    That is hilarious!

I can't fault the guy for trying, though. He just may sell it.

I thought it might be fun to hang on the garage wall over my 308. I offered him $19 for it but I doubt he'll take that if he really thinks it's worth $900.

    I'll keep you posted!

The body shop will probably cut off some more as they fit the repair panel...

I was working in a hurry for the Parade with a chop saw and a beer sign....came out pretty nice, I thought.

    That'll work, Bubba!

I used to patch holes in my MGB's exhaust pipes with Coca-Cola cans and hose clamps.

Not sure......we handle a lot of aluminum supprt systems for wiring, the closure plates are PERFECT they have that 1/2" lip on the front, serrate the top plate to curve it, and you are on your way with sheet metal screws and body colored duct tape!!!

I feel bad I haven't gotten it in for proper repair, I spent the insurance settlement on my Ducati.

The main problem is the hood is jammed shut, I have to jump start it directly to the starter and it's pretty tight to be using big clamps back there!
And you have to remount the fender liner and tire/wheel onto a running car....

    Good jackstands!!

    Sure why not!

Well surprise, surprise, my offer of $19 was turned down. He said it would cost him more than that to replace it as wall art. Well duh, that's what I wanted to use it for!

Isn't there a battery disconnect under the 308?

You could re-route to the back.

I nominate this for Understatement of the Year:

"This is a used right front fender removed after the accident of my old red ferrari 328. It is factory original Ferrari."

Love it!! "Used"!! Used as what, a battering ram? A target for sledge hammer swinging practice? Looks like it was in an accident, cut off the car, left out in the rain for a few years, and run over by the treads of a Sherman tank. "Used"! I love it.

And someone paid $150 bucks for that???? If a piece like that went for $150, I'm parting my 328 out right now. It must be worth several hundred thousand, at least, if I can sell it off bit by bit and get that kind of price for each little piece of this and that.
