Should I have a PPI done at and independent shop that has never seen this 430 or the dealer where the vehicle has been serviced for most or all of its life? Any difference? Thanks for your thoughts........

If the dealership has no interest in the sale (i.e. they are completely independent), I would have the dealership do it. The dealership will be more knowledgeable about the car. This is an assumption, but probably a reasonable one.

    It depends...

As pointed out above the dealer would be great if they were independent in terms of the sale. Can they be? Your call.

I run an independent shop and we do quite a few of them. We don't have a local dealer for one. and the closest thing to a "dealer" we do have, no one trusts.

Whoever does it should be someone you trust to tell you what to do with an awful lot of money. You should trust them as you would your financial adviser.

Complicated questions tend to have simple answers.
