They seem to have stopped doing them in favor of the little model, I got the VIP book for 599, Scud, 16M, but not the cars that came before them, and not for the 458 or GTO.

Yes, the "Baby Book" has been replaced by a little replica model of a similarly configured car like you order. That is what I got with my 458.

I liked it better too but... was it really your engine in the photo? Was it really your car?

    How do you know?

Interesting, they could have a stack of V12 engine photos and another stack of V8 engine photos. They probably found out that the photographer they contracted with was also on the payroll of Jalopnik and it ruined the VIP book for everyone. :)

No it definitely wasn't your car. My 430 was ordered with CCM and black callipers way back when, but the picture in the VIP book showed somthing different (can't remember anymore if it was red callipers or steel brakes...).

Thanks Dhalpin for the pic. I'm wandering why i didn't get one... I'll check with them. Both look precious.

yeah! I wondered that same thing. I thought it was kind of crappy. I would much rather have a VIP book if it was really photos of my car than a model that doesn't have the same options.
