i'm sure there are DOZENS of threads about this!... i'm sort of hoping for something reliable (should i cue laugh track?) also, i hear the 1995B is the best one to get... any advice? is service going to make my wallet vomit thousands? thanks! phil
"I'm looking for a wife- any advice"?? Seriously- TONS of threads like this- I think your best bet- although dozens of us will opine in this thread- is to just start READING threads- don't even search- Just set the little box at the bottom of this screen to show all threads from "The beginning" and start reading- Everything good and bad has been discussed here. more than ANYTHING- find the good local indie shop where you will be going to have your car service- ask him what to look for- I'll bet he knows of two or three 355s that just "might be" for sale...
LMAO!! Actually, I am looking for a mistress as a supplement to my wife To the OP - use the "search" option.
I can't find the original picture of this poster here, but it has a narrative attached to it that says something like "The Ferrari will cost you less in the long run" or "The Ferrari will cost you less to maintain" -- Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yeah but its all in the ride, most ladies don't have a sport mode, and the ferrari does, however if you come across a sweet young thing that has sport mode you may want to grab on as a keeper
Great car you will not regret it got mine an 09 in oct. Harsh winter but put on over 2000 miles since I got it. Loving every mile.

Well the above is actually an interesting question: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=140415912#post140415912
i'm glad you say that, because i was just thinking exactly that! (not the complainer bit) but it DOES seem to be expensive to run, then again, it IS a ferrari, so really, what was i expecting... i'm beginning to think maybe it's more sensible to get a (GASP) late model porsche, or something..then again, the sound of the 355 is madness!
Of everyone I know that owns a 355, none of them complain and the reason is that I met all of them through the shop I have service mine. They know their stuff and the fact that they take their car there means that they are doing the proper maintenance. The simple fact is if you take care of the car, it will take care of you. The 355 is one of the most amazing cars made by anyone and yes the 95 355B is the one.
i know this will sound a bit dim, but does a 355 built in feb of 96 have all the gloriousness of the '95? i've found a 96 in amazing condition with 12k on the clock, for 53k..thoughts?
You will never regret the purchase when you're driving it-or when you get out of it and turn around to look at it as you're walking away or when you walk out into the parking lot and there's a kid (or babe) staring at it and you get to get in it!
355 is like a "mistress" with herpes. You never know when it's gonna flare up! All kidding aside. I had a 1994 build date '95 which is better than a regular 95. Heads are different etc.....also had a 98 spider. Made no difference on reliability. 94 had more power.......
