I agree on the aluminum. In hindsight I wish I would have gotten two of the steel jacks. 2 1/2 ton rather than 2 ton. But really how often does an owner get their cars in the air? With three cars I've used both jacks no more than 4 times in the last two years.

I like AC Hydraulics for my garage and the Costco lighter jack for the track.

The AC jack, lifts to almost 29 inches... something to consider as well.

I'm more of a DIYer than you I guess. I change the oil on my two cars, and perform minor repairs and maintenance as they come up. I would guess I use my jacks 10 or 12 times per year...perhaps a bit more.

Oh I get it now. I have a pit so standing under the car trumps jacking it up and trying to slide under it. Simple misunderstanding. I live 450 miles from the nearest dealer or independent, so DIY is all there is.

Ditto on the harbor freight product...$69 and <2.5" in height slides right under my Mondial with no adjustments and I can damn near tip the car over with 19+" in lift. Model Central Hydraulics, 4000#

So after much thought I have decided that I want the AC Hydraulics jack. I decided to contact AC Hydraulics directly to suggest a US distributor. Turns out they forwarded my email directly to Pelican and I have been exchanging emails with them today to order one. I should have one in a few weeks since they are out of stock of the DK13HLQ, but their customer service has been great so far and I'm pretty impressed. I have to call their sales department tomorrow to secure the order :)

Well I made my decision and purchased the DK13HLQ from Pelican Parts. Pelican had great customer service, and I would recommend them to anyone. I should have the jack in a few weeks. Thanks for everyone's thoughts/opinions and help :)
