Koobideh - beef and lamb, beef tenderloin trimmings and lamb chop and loin trimmings. Seasoned with tumeric, onion, sumac. Purty darn good. Oh comfort food. Love it.
Last night I made Cream cheese crab dip with polenta crisps to dip, Salad Boston lettuce Green onions Red peppers Goat cheese log rolled in cranberries, egg and Italian breadcrumbs, deep fried Topped with salad cream Pan seared rainbow trout Steamed broccoli Mini cake lolipop things from Starbucks - damn these are good!
Last night was a marinaded grilled tri-tip. Leftovers went into sandwiches at lunch with Havarti. At the moment, have a 6 pound Boston Butt in a brine solution of salt, sugar and liquid smoke. In about two hours, a mustard rub, then into the oven for 3+ hours. Making a tangy BBQ sauce for when it comes out. New recipe all the way around, so looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Will serve with sweet potato fries and either cold beer or Zinfandel.
Ahhh...don't you hate when you misread the timing on a recipe? Well, I did just that. That yummy BBQ I have in the oven won't be out for some 4.5 hours and its 5PM now. Maybe should not have started on the beer yet. Oh well, late dinner tonight, sleep in tomorrow. On a side note, no matter how much I have washed my hands, they smell of liquid smoke = I smell yummy good. LOL!
Started working nights this week so had a salad and bag 'o chips off the gut wagon. I really need to get a better schedule down so I can figure out how to eat on this shift again.
I'm looking forward to tonight. I'm going for the best burger + fries + wings. I haven't had a meal at this place for almost a year. It is going to be AWESOME. I have been planning it since Monday. 10 more hours
