Is the construction of the 456 and 355 wing mirrors compatible. Had the usual "smack the wing mirror off" saturday night crowd pass the car the other night...and the mirror is somewhat....in a sorry state! From images, the internal castings and movement pivot seem the same, the outer plastic casing seems the same. So my question can you attach a 355 mirror housing on to the securing base plate of a 456.... If so do the kit car mirrors on a 355 allow this? Price 456 complete mirror £1,000.00 355 complete mirror £700.00 355 kit mirror £150.00 (probably only housing but for the remaining £850.00 i am sure you can fabricate a working replacement.... Any comments welcomed..
