I have in my hands the "Service Bulletins -All Models Thru 1984". Back cover shows Print No. 90000 3563. I've been trying to scan this to PDF so I can carry it on a thumbdrive or perhaps my iPhone but because I keep having to flip-flop the book to get it on my scanner correctly, I get about 2/3 of the way though the scan and mentally space out and blow the orientation and ruin the PDF.

Does anyone have this book already in PDF format?

    Thanks,
    Rick

    Thanks Eric!
I have that one too and managed to get through it without screwing up the scan. The later book however is about 3 times as many pages as the early book and I just keep messing it up. I was hoping someone had already done this and had a bit more patience than I.

Periodically, I have to do some of that type of scanning.
My recommendation would be to make photocopies of each page, orientate them, then run them thru a feeder type of scanner.

For most pages, I would not use color; it just makes files way too big. If there is a diagram that would make sense to preserve color then perhaps just that page.

If the file is big; you may want to make separate files for each chapter or section?

If all else fails, I have the Adobe software that allows you to manipulate PDF files: it will rotate all of the odd number pages only, and allow you to seamlessly merge together small files to make one larger file. Send me a private email if you would like my help.

I have both the 1980 and 1981-2 Service Bulletins in pdf, however, I've never seen the 1984. How many pages? Perhaps only the last several pages actually add any information.

Service Bulletins are typed with a few line drawings and easy to scan at low resolution b/w. Your scanner software may enable you to scan directly to pdf but best to jpeg first, then convert jpegs into one pdf.

I have a pdf of revisions and bulletins from the early 80's to 2005. I can send it with my yahoo mail, it's too big for this sight's attachments. I also have a pdf of all the original revisions to the GT4.

Seems neither of the three 308 service bulletin pdfs which I have are comprehensive. I will attempt my own compendium and make it available to all. Attempt being the operative verb and to make it doable, will limit to service bulletins only. Not to say the other stuff isn't valuable but there are technical bulletins, recall campaigns, and warranty letters which only muddy the waters when you are problem solving.

Does anyone know CDYN.com or have contact information? I have material for him but the email thingy on his site doesn't work and he has privacy invoked on his domain. The only close member of FChat is CDoyne but he has never posted.

He has more service bulletins than I have ( and I have some he doesn't) and his are clean.
Great find. I'd seen his site before but not the SBs

    I have service bulletins 100-200+ covering 1960's cars through I think 1974.

They're hidden somewhere on my website as a pretty good sized pdf. I'll go look and see if I can find a link to post.

    Stay tuned.

it's about 90mb, so it will take a little time to load.

    Enjoy.

You can modify the PDF and remove the offending page and merge PDF's with the correct one. So if you space out and flub the orientation, you can fix it.
