M-individual is right, this is the one. Concerning the driver + passenger, everything's OK. No one was hurt hopefully. ;-)
WH05GTO in rosso fuoco belongs to Paul Bailey. There is a similar car in F1 2007 red but has the matt black roof with the racing seats.
Thanks for the details about the Rosso Fuoco GTO! One GTO coming to Canada will also be wearing Rosso Fuoco. I doubt the interior will be as unique as the English example pictured here however. CH
Hope all concerned are ok! Was a lovely example, shame to see it in that state. What was the color? Ive seen vinaccia mentioned but not sure its the correct color...
There were 2 GTO's as forerunners for this years Tour Auto (http://www.tourauto.com/en/s01_home/s01p01_home.php). Let's hope driver and passenger are OK. The other one was shot: Image Unavailable, Please Login Gr. Martin
Is that Launch Control allowing so much wheel spin? Awesome sounds, but the driver is irresponsible for doing it in such a crowded place IMO.
Hi, The owner and me (co-pilot) are safe. The safety inside the car is awesome and certainly saved our lives. ;-)
That is excellent news. Makes my day. What happened? Were you guys on cold tires? Was car in race or sport? Can understand if you won't go into detail on a public forum as "anybody" could be reading this. Good news is that you guys are safe and sound. Bad news is that the car is probably total write-off? All the best, M
I thought the car was great on the track and very fast Had a few plays with the 458s and the 430 Challenge cars on the track I could just about hold on to them on the corners but powered past the 458s on the exits Brakes held up ok - I was doing 25 minutes followed by 1 hour breaks The tyres are really worn The front of the car is a bit of a mess from bits from a shredded Challenge cars tyre
Luckily you're both OK! Still a shame to see the GTO being totaled, makes your stomach turn over As M said, what happend? Could be very valuable information for other GTO-owners.
I am not allowed to say much but we all know that wet grass on the side of the road and race mode are not a good combination...
And therefor the conclusion is, only use racemode when keeping the steeringwheel straight The most important thing is, you are both OK.
Thats wonderful news! Lucky for you and your passenger, and us, we can still enjoy the pics without feeling sadness for anyones misfortune! Your one is a particular favorite of mine, congratulations on your taste! Enjoy more ferrari miles, in good health! Can I get it from the horses mouth as it were, what was the color of your car? No one seems to know for sure, so I think you would be the best person to ask!
I was at the factory last week to see the car in the finishing area -- the picture doesn't really do justice to the Rosso Fuoco paint, but this gives you some idea. (the markings are for imperfections in the paint or the coachwork itself that need to be fixed before releasing the car.) As for the interior, it may not be 'as unique' but it will be 'more tasteful.' I had a look at the coloured CF before specifying the interior (both the red and the blue CF) and decided it was horrendous, or at least not for me. If you had Barchetta on the exterior, the red CF might work , but with any other colour, well, just not for me. So my interior is charcoal alcantara with red stitch -- i think it worked out quite well when i saw it. I will post some pix when the car arrives, probably a month or so away. I would think putting a GTO on it's lid involves serious drivers error and far too much speed. Glad they are ok.
congrats on a beautiful spec and nice choice on the color. i can't imagine seeing your car and actually having to wait about a month or so to see it again!
I saw a white GTO with Barchetta color stripes and the red CF all around a few weeks back at a dealership and the red CF is definitely unique and worked well with that combination!
