    I saw a top gear episode yesterday which they tested the ferrari 458 Italia and in a short comment they presented a few older ferraris and their weak points/flaws, and I heard, forgive me if I´m imprecise with the words buy I only heard it once, them saying that the 348 was like "driving on top of wood" and the F50 was like "having the engine glued to your spinal cord" and other comments I cannot recall.

    Top Gear is sponsored entertainment... and they're being paid to help Ferrari sell 458's.

    It's a fun show, but that's all there is to it.

    As we say in Holland: its better if TG say bad things about our Ferrari's then people who know where they are talking about ;)

    Top Gear is an entertainment program only, even the hosts joke about being called a factual program. Take what they say with a grain of salt.

    As for being a "sponsored entertainment... and they're being paid to help Ferrari sell 458's" I'm pretty sure that is untrue as it is a state run channel on BBC and is paid for by a television licence by the people of the UK.

    No way Jeremy said anything bad about the F40. He loves that car, it was about the F50 and yes the 348 does drives hard but it's perfectly normal since it's a rogue car and there is no denial there. Many people love that feeling ...

    Yeah, from all I've ever seen, his affinity for the F40 is strong enough to become physical. I know mine is :)

    Also, let's not forget that when they first reviewed the 348, he liked it.

    I know I love that feeling!

    I have no care in the world what ANYBODY says about the 348...I bought one because I love it and wanted one, not because of what other people said about it (good or bad). If I had of listened to everyone, I wouldn't have bought one :)

    As I say when I am officiating ice hockey - "The day I listen to what the fans have to say, is the day I end up out of a job and sitting right next to them in the stands."

    I say the same about Ferrari ownership "The day I listen to the critics is the day that I end up Ferrari-less, and get screwed out of ownership of one" :D

    Clarkson hates the 599 GTO. There goes your conspiracy.

    I dunno, maybe 348 is a crappy car by some standards - but my perception is that the owners seem very pleased.

    Forget Viagra and Cialis - just drive a 348, and she will love you for it :D:D

    "Please consult a doctor prior to driving a 348...if you have a heart condition, please drive the 348 in moderation...and if driving a 348 gives you an erection that lasts 4 hours, well then something is wrong because it should give you one for at least 6 hours" :D:D

    The 348 still looks great which cannot be said of Jeremy's hairdo when he tested the 348. You just gotta love Jeremy for his funny comments and never take them too seriously.
