Hello All, Went for a really nice drive this morning along the twistys of North County, San Diego, with Sandy Eggo. Took some pics when I got home, thought I'd share. 2 weeks into it and I've put about 200 miles on it, at this rate I'll break 100k before I know it. Thanks to Sandy Eggo and hope to see the footage soon. Beautiful Nero B. You should get a set of clear front lamps from Ricambi. It will really give a "finished" look to the car. EDIT: Here's the link for the LH unit: http://www.ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?products_id=203652
I agree. Only things I plan to do are the scuderia shields and the euro turn signals. Still can't believe you cannot just get the lens. I smell reproduction . . . and I have a company to do it that we've used for NLA stuff on BMWs.
The light unit is one piece, the lens does not come off. It would be pretty difficult and time-consuming to replicate (i.e., probably not cost effective). For a Ferrari part, they are actually reasonable. If you have an bubbled/sticky interior pieces make sure to send them to www.stickynomore,com Robbie does fantastic work at a very reasonable price and he has a very quick turn around time. There's a guy on FChat - Yoshi that makes great quality shields. Check in the Ads section or may be someone can give you an e-mail/Internet address. EDIT: Hey Rick, are you ever at home. Geez, what a Social Butterfly. You're with everybody on FChat. LOL
Ahh. Thought the front screw was access to the bulb with a pivot hinge in the housing. Nevermind then, they aren't that expensive for a complete unit.
Were you guys at the San Elijo Cheveron getting gas this morning? I saw a black F355 GTB and a red F355 GTS at the station. I was getting gas for my red 355 GTB before meeting up with some friends to take the twisties. Seeing two other 355's out of the blue in SEH is like very rare to never.
Yes, that was us. What were the chances of that happening??? We were just finishing our drive . . . . Too funny
Beautiful car, I agree with the clear lite route also it looks like you could adjust your rear exhaust tips as they are slung a little low they should be within the cut outs with a 5-10 ml gap from the top.
That is awesome. I've driving with various clubs and groups almost every weekend. I've put around 2000 miles on mine since I bought it last November. Today we drove through Elfin Forest to 15 and then through Highlands Valley and then back down through Bandy Canyon road. Last week I rode with the BMW club up through Palomar mountain and onto Santa Isabel. There were around 50 or so cars on that run. Quite of few of the BMW guys and gals asked to take pictures with the F355.
I agree on the exhaust, it does hang about an inch too low. Once I get it off the road and on a hoist at my shop I'll address it. Just been having too much fun driving it. I have a few things I want to do, most of which is get the paint to look perfect under fluorescent lights -- not sure if this is even possible?? I might be walking the line of obsession on this though.
Yep. I'd say pretty much *never*. We saw you as we were leaving...paused to see if you'd notice but didn't get your attention. We caused quite a little stir at the station.
