Hello everyone, I wanted to share an article from the current issue of "European Car" that features a 458 on which we installed our performance package.

The upgrades can be had as a package or individually. Below are the details of the full package installed on the car in the article and youtube videos:

-Fits all Ferrari 458 Italia Cars 2010+

-Fabspeed is the world’s first company to design and fabricate a full replacement, bolt-on - high performance exhaust system for the new 458 Italia.

-This package includes Sport Headers, 200 cell German imported HJS sport race catalytic converters, Maxflo mufflers, Dual-style “458 Challenge” tips, and ECU Upgrade.

-Power improvement +630HP/460 ft-lbs of torque to the crank.

-With the full package installed, you will save 24lbs/10.9 kg compared to the factory system.

-Constructed from high-quality, 14-16 gauge T304 stainless steel C.N.C. mandrel bent tubing for maximum power and sound.

-Fabspeed only uses German imported, 200 cell per square inch OBDII Euro level 5 sports racing catalytic converters.

-The Fabspeed sport headers feature a high velocity, 4-into-1 merge collector for improved exhaust scavenging and optimum flow.

-Sport headers feature 1.875”/44.5mm primary pipes which are larger in diameter than the stock/OEM 1.5” tubes.

-Maxflo Mufflers eliminate the stock/OEM valves and increase sportscar tone throughout the RPM range.

-The package also includes Fabspeed’s Dual-Style “458 Challenge” tips with carbon fiber backsplash.

-The EVOMSit ECU program is provided to smooth the power delivery and optimize air/fuel ratio throughout the RPM range.

-Direct bolt-on application with no cutting or welding required.

-Safe for emissions and will not void warranty.

I like the 2 pipes instead of 3. I know it resembles the F40 but the 2 pipes look better in relation to the tail lights.

yep that is amazing for sure.

my 458 should show up sometime in late May to late June (I'm hoping.....delayed because doing triple layer Nuevo Rossa paint). So will think about Fabspeed then.

Question: do these mods affect the factory warranty?

    Thanks for the kind words.

Regarding the tips... you can add just the tips of you'd like. It is an is an easy fix if you prefer the challenge car look. Also, if you prefer the three pipe stock setup, you can retain them in conjunction with the rest of our system. It's your choice!

That is really cool. The 2 pipes to me look more like the Ford GT. I'm sort of used to the three pipes now.

    But, the car is amazing.

I like the 2 pipes a lot, they give the back the 458 Challenge look *Thumbs Up*
I hope that Ferrari will use the 2 pipes look for the 458-Challenge-Stradale/Scuderia/Or-Whatever-They-Are-Going-To-Call-It ;) :D

Website says "Safe for emissions and will not void warranty."

What is that based on...do they have something in writing from FNA?

I'm sorry that I didn't quickly answer the question about warranty. We prefer not to speak openly on the forum about the factory warranty sinice we are not affiliated with Ferrari.
However. I don't want to avoid the question.

Fabspeed has spent a very large amount of time and money engineering these product so they will not fail and/or lead to failure on other parts of the car. If you have a problem that is unrelated to our system, they will have no problem covering your problem under warranty. In other words, adding aftermarket parts to your car will not void the warranty. If there is a problem that is related to our parts, it really depends on the situation, and to a certain extent, your relationship with your dealership and service advisor. Like any other aftermarket part, they are not covered by the factory warranty.

However, our parts have a lifetime warranty (except catalytic converters, which have a 2 year warranty).

Regarding the installation, we estimate the install time for the entire system at 12 hours. That may seem like a long time, but keep in mind that it takes about 6 hours to install just the headers. At our labor rate, it comes out to $1140 ($95/hr). Most of the packages we have sold so far went directly to Ferrari dealers... I would imagine the labor rates are a bit higher there:)

Please feel free to call, email, or PM me if you have any other questions. Thanks!

Thanks for the installation quote. Sounds reasonable. But what I was looking for was the total cost = cost of all Fabspeed parts + installation. You bring a lot of value added in the mod package you describe so I don't expect it to be cheap. Nevertheless, a totla cost figure would be useful to know. Thanx.

The full package costs $14,395 plus install. Figure about $15,500 installed. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

... its more like a 10% increase in power. But that's still pretty good!
