I currently have 125 main jets in my 308 Webers. I'm thinking my car is running a bit lean, so order 135 jets based on Sledge's success. The order shipped was 130 jets, apparently by mistake of the shipper. Is there enough difference between 125 and 130 to even give them a try? If not, I'll just ship them back before opening the packet.

    Thanks, Jeff

i dont konw the answer to your q, but i do konw the difference between the 55's and the 60's was quite pronounced, the 60's dumped a ton more fuel into the carb. One might assume the same with the main jets. That said, i would keep them, they are fairly cheap and would be good to play around with. in addition to helping the stumble getting above 4000, i found the 135's gave me much more strength to redline, where the 125's seem to peeter out around 5.5k rpms.

You can take this for what it's worth and I'm pretty sure it's solid, but on one of Jay Leno's Garage episodes, he mentioned that for almost all of his cars, they've had to upsize the jets to get it to run right on todays fuels.

Thanks Geno and Peter. I will give them a try and report results.

Now that my 308 is up and running, and running pretty well, it is kind of fun fiddling with it to look for improvements.

Generally I agree. However in my case the .60's were masking an issue that I wound up tuning out.

I bought my car in Florida.
    It come with :
    0,55 Idle
    125 Main
    200 Air corrector

    I have changed to :
    0,60 Idle
    140 Main
    220 Air

And now is absolutely much more stronger, from 1000rpm idle to 6500rpm, without any sticks. To 2700-3000 rpm working only the idlejets, upper this the Mainjets.
Changing the idle to 0,60 is recommended, but you can set more lean on 1000rpm idle you have stabile rpm, and also by 2500-3000 you have enough rich. With the 0,55 idlejets you must set rich on 1000rpm that you have also enough by 2500-3000rpm.

    Regards Stefan
