Need help....they are over charging but we really want that 458.

We have a choice of one off the show room (which is always a freaking used one that cost more than the new ones) or build it to spec. Or pay higher price for the new one $20,000 above retail price.

We are dealing with Ferrari of Beverly Hills and Newport Beach as well as Honolulu. There is a new one at Honolulu but it's black :(.

If you are a Ferrari owner what would the trade in price be for a Ferrari F430 F1 coupe 2008 model with only 3400 miles on the clock and carbon options.

Also i want to do my own oil changes because Ferrari Service Department is trying to rip me off for annual oil changes ($1600). I could do it myself for only $100 but they kept saying i need a drain scanner or some bull **** like that. Would you pay $1600 for an annual oil change?

No, $1600 seems a bit excessive for an annual fluid service, which I assume includes a bit more than an oil and filter change. The norm seems to be around $1000, but can include brake/clutch fluid flush and change, transaxle fluid, power steering fluid, coolant, and A/C refrigerant, plus a myriad of checks.

If all you want to do is change the oil annually, you would be ripping off yourself.

No clue on your trade-in problems. If you want instant gratification, it costs more. If you want a car at MSRP, get in line and expect to wait. The list is shorter in some locations, but sounds like you do not live near one of those locations.

If you want a 458 a particular way, you will simply have to put in an order, configure the car, and wait. The Ferrari site has a 458 configurator that shows you the myriad of (std) options and your dealer can show you more. Current wait time is "not so bad" on a Ferrari-way of thinking about it. Best part is, that not only do you get the car the way you want it, you get to pay the lowest price for it at the same time.

You won't walk out the door with it, however. If time is mor important that getting it the way you want it, then pony up and go.

I didn't know that Honolulu had a new black one. I know they just brought in a grey one.

yeah the black one just came in to the show room my hubby is dealing with a guy called Roy think he is the Manager. Like the seat colors but he quoted us $310k didnt list much the option it has:

"THIS FERARRI 458 ITALIA F1 HAVE STANDARD SEAT ONLY.( FIT JUST PERFECT) OPTION ARE.. CARBON FIBER STEERING W/LED-ELECTRIC SEAT-FRONT LIFT- AFS SYSTEM-NAV-BLUETOOTH-HIGH HIFI SOUND SYSTEM-ALL STICHING-DUAL COLOUR INTERIOR- RED CALIPERS- CUSTOM TINT- 3M SHEILD- AND MUCH MORE..

    HERE'S THE QUOTATION FOR THE 2011 FERRARI 458 ITALIA F1 COUPE ,

PURCHASE PRICE WITH ALL THE STATE FEES BASE ON HONOLULU ADDRESS...

    PURCHASE PRICE---------$ 316,633.47 "

I think they are taking us for a hike.

Going to the show room and give him my credit card because we have already waited and waited and waited for so long. I guess now i have to pay if i want immediate delivery.

Is that Ferrari Watch worth it at Ferrari.com site? The wrist band looks really cheap. The dealership said it is exclusive to us Ferrari Owners but my friend bought one for her husband and they only own Lambo. So is this salesmen taking me for a ride again?

$316 doesn't sound like much of a markup if any. It's difficult to get a car for $270 with the most common options before taxes and license. In California, that's another 30 grand easily. Without seeing the complete options list and knowing the taxes and license, it's hard to say. But, it does seem like it could be slightly above MSRP but not a hosing.

I bought my Italia red/beige from Roy. He is a straight up guy. I bought couple cars from him. I'm on the big island. I bought my Italia from Roy, 3 months ago. But i'm sure if he is asking 310k, anywhere from 30-40k is markup. I paid 30k markup for mine.

Did you take a look at the grey one too? I spoke with Roy this Sunday and he asked me if I wanted to take home the grey one. I believe the msrp was bit lower than the black one.

A red 08 is probably worth about 120k trade in on that full priced car.red is a dime a dozen with lots of resale comp. Maybe 110k

If you dont maintain your car properly you are fooling yourself

1600 is about normal with sales tax for the more extensive 2year. Half that is fair for 1 year.

You can't change fluids for 100 bucks you are kidding yourself. If you are in Hawaii changing brake fluid and tranny fluid will be as important as oil.

You want an expensive car take care of it.

If you order a new one you'll get free servicing and not have to worry about whether the USD 30 000 premium or the annual service cost is the bigger rip-off

I sold my high mileage (7200 miles) Corsa red 430 Spider for $175k last week. Annual service for both 1st and 2nd year was just south of $1000.

Found a video of the car on her YouTube Channel. You should call Roy and ask him if they got in one or two cars. I'm pretty sure this is the "gray one".

"My car had just arrived at Honolulu Ferrari Dealership :) Still has all the stickers on it from import and transportation. I'll have to wait for a week because they have to do pre delivery check and stuff like that :(

So excited can't wait to pick it up but there is one problem it is black :( do not like black car."

I just got 135K trade in allowance last week on my '07 430 w/10,700 miles on it. You have to remember that you will pay tax on the net difference between the two cars. So I would of had to sell my car for an extra $8,437.50 in Texas to net the same as the 135k trade in.

Note to the OP: I don't think this is correct. It should bring more than that...do some research on here and on cars.com and other sources and then factor downwards since those are asking prices and you are talking trade-in value. Regardless, 110-120 is too low IMHO.

A clean '08 is worth ~$140k on trade-in. Less if it has light options or if you did the oil changes yourself ;)

I want $190K at least as a trade in. And that Ferrari roy has i dont want it anymore. I went to my garage at Ferrari.com and spec one up with sports seats, that's the seat i want.

So i think when my husband comes back to Honolulu we are going to have to put an interest in on a red one with sports seats.

How are you able to work with Beverly Hills and Newport Beach, when you are in Hawaii? I thought dealers can only sell new cars to people in their area, unless that person does not have a dealer near them already.
