As much as I like and support Massa I can't say I'm not interested in the possiblity...

Webber has shown last year how fast he can be plus I think he is a mature and great chap.

I meant to say "I can't say I'm not interested."

    I agree with your statement

Webber and Alonso will end badly. And Massa really doesn't deserve to be kicked out considering how his season is going.

I think this is the problem I forsee as well, though it must be said Massa and Alonso probably don't have the greatest relationship... Massa doesn't deserve a lot that has been dealt his way, but then again he has dug himself in a hole a few times...

+1. Webber isn't too keen about rolling over and being submissive to Vettel. I'm pretty sure he won't be too keen to roll over for Alonso either ;)

This could only end in tears and I'm pretty sure Alonso will do everything he can to prevent it from happening...

Too me this is a total non-starter...just the way I see it...

Personally I find it kind of interesting to see "silly season" kick into high hear so early into the season. :D

I think Webber would prefer to drive for a team where it's openly known that he's #2

"I've three options - stay here, stop or drive somewhere else - which is probably unlikely," said Webber, who operates on a rolling contract with Red Bull.

Seems he is out if not with RB.

    and...

    From Autosport:

Webber 'unlikely' to move team in 2012

By Jonathan Noble Thursday, May 5th 2011, 15:26 GMT

Mark Webber thinks a move to another team next year is unlikely, as he suggested on Thursday there was a 'good chance' he would stick with Red Bull Racing again for 2012.

Did you not read the part about "drive somewhere else"? That means perhaps another team?

I know Webber has a lot of fans on here but he would be a horrendous choice for Ferrari.

He doesn't have the talent necessary to do well in the 2nd car. He was in the catbird seat last year and blew it. And so far this year he has been waxed by Vettel with ease.

If Vettel is a toss-up with Alonso in terms of talent, then that's about how good Webber would do comparatively... which is probably about on Massas level.

Button would be a much better choice... he is way more talented than Webbo. But McLaren puts them on equal footing, as does RBR with Vettel/Webber (or as near as can be).

Ferrari have a very clear #1, and it ain't whomever is in the second seat next to Alonso.

You know, when Button went to McLaren I thought he was insane to go up against Hamilton in "hamilton's team"

I reckon he's doing ok....so I wouldn't dare think along those lines with Webber (or any other driver) going up against Alonso at Ferrari. You just never know.

Unlikely? Maybe, but Webber is a good competitor. I think at Ferrari he would do well. I think his demeanor and manners would fit well at Ferrari.

he doesn't speak Italian and that always endears the driver to the team if they do, hence MS learning the lingo when he was there

I mostly agree, but with the way Vettel and Webber are at RB I can see more fireworks (whether on or off the track). I still loved the look on Hamilton and Vettel's face in the Chinese post race interview, it was blatant "I'm so glad Vettel got it handed to him." The fact is Hamilton and Button have a really good relationship, you can tell they respect eachother. Ferrari obviously have issues too, I'm not sure it would be any better with Webber. It could perhaps, but Webber wouldn't want to move out of his current situation to be placed in that position on another team
