Hi guys, my car is on a ship to Italy now & I need to know what kind of luggages can I fit back there.

If anyone is free to help me measure the clearance in the boot or knows what size of luggage u normally put in there will be most helpful. I know it's small.

I'm sure it won't have problem for a 20" cabin luggage but I need at least 22-24" & two pax as I have 3 weeks of clothes to fill. Thanks in advance.

It's pretty small actually. It measures about 65" (165cm) wide x 22" (56cm) deep x 14" (35cm) high, but you won't be able to use the full width. The manual didn't reveal specific data (although I had to quickly glance) but you can see the luggage is really fitted at the ends due to the lower height.

The body of the compartment is really more like 100 x 56 x 35 so I would use that figure to estimate.

It depends... The usable width is higher on a MGT, and the height is less with an automatic version. Then there is the question whether it has the spare wheel option fitted?
I'd say the height of 35 is a bit conservative for a manual but perhaps correct for an automatic.
And of course there are always the rear seats :)

It sounded short to me also - so I went back and rechecked with a 15" (38cm) cardboard box and my trunk will not close without touching the box. My car is an M 6 speed so maybe there's a difference but for mine 35cm is the number.

FWIW- Technically I imagine the fitted luggage probably has abit more height at the back of the truck (towards front of car) where the slope of the lid probably yields another 4-5cm of space.

    Back seat is right!

Yesterday I measured the height on my manual GT and it is 45 cm in the center, measured from the lowest part of the inside of the parcel shelf to boot floor. It may be lower towards the rear of the car because of the sloping trunklid but I couldn't fit myself in to measure it ;)

Agreed- where the trunk lid meets the body towards the front of the car is 17.5" (~45cm) and the back end of the lid is the 14" (35cm) height. And on my manual car there's also the compartment under the center floor hatch that's empty (no spare) where I keep the compressor, tire patch kit and the tool kit.
