Webber doesn't view himself as a #2. I can't see him selling his soul to be a Ferrari driver.

i dont see why he would leave. he may not be the favorite there but he sure as hell wouldn't be the favorite at ferrari with alonso there. not to mention red bull is leaps and bounds above the other cars.

I really doubt Ferrari would get MW just due to the age factor alone IMO, but could be wrong. Button would be great indeed, but didn't he just renew his contract? Ferrari needs somebody that can eventually succeed Alonso IMO, not a #2 with no chance to be #1. Who knows.

Brilliant choice. Clearly one of the best drivers out there, and even though he's clearly the #1 at MB, he's not recognized as such. Young enough and mature enough at the same time to be a good Ferrari driver IMO. And with better personality than both current Ferrari drivers combined (IMO :).

Yep. How Nico doesn't get more credit surprises me. I think people have this idea that MS is a washed up old man, and nothing could be farther from the truth. He's still a racer, and a great one at that. The fact that Nico has been consistently outperforming him shows a lot. I think this is a guy Ferrari could really rally behind. Alonso is too polarizing.

I would bet that part of the appeal of getting Webber into Ferrari would be to learn the inner workings of Red Bull. Webber is plenty fast, plus with knowledge of working first hand with Adrian Newey (who they are not getting), is pretty tempting....

Nico Rosberg to Ferrari would be an excellent choice. No pressure on his shoulders and the chance to have Ferrari might behind him.

He's fast, young, committed... perfect age blended with speed and several years worth of F1 experience already, plus he is outperforming a formidable 7-time WDC...

Lots of upside, and little to no downside that I can see...

A good match for all concerned...

The downside comes whens he outperforms a certain double-WDC...

I have a Global Bun Warmer. No, really. It's a bun warmer made by Global.

    ...so there you go.

Ha ha. But that's exactly what Ferrari needs IMO. Whoever wants to be the #1 Ferrari driver, needs to EARN IT :). Nobody is born #1, and neither he stays there forever.

If anyone is going to Ferrari, it's Nico Rosberg. Massa will go to Force India and Di Resta will go to Mercedes. I don't think Webber is going anywhere.

Yes I would love to see Nico with Ferrari as it would give me a driver with Ferrari I could sort of get behind and support. Although I wonder if Zo would be at all agreeable to this. Could it be a Prost/Senna Mclaren situation? Anyway, Ferrari has communicated with Nico which is the first step I guess.

Face it, although he's probably the best overall F1 driver on the planet, Alonso doesn't get along well with teammates that seriously challenge him. Further, Webber has a very hard time feeling like #2, officially or unofficially. So that wouldn't be a great marriage.

Webber's best chance for success is to stay right where he is.

Ferrari's best chance for success is to keep Alonso as a clear #1 with an excellent supporting driver, hopefully a bit better than Massa...

The driver who best fits is Nico. Never #1 on a top team but capable of beating star co-drivers.

Regardless of the Webber rumor, are we all agreeing that Massa's time is up?

Yep. Put Rosberg in there and not run the risk of losing WCC's.

To be fair the pit crew deserves some blame for his result today.
With that disclaimer, yup it looks like his time has passed. Too bad but it happens to everyone (save Michael).

Just me but I feel sorry for him, but I suppose sentiment counts for nothing in this sport.

Probably, but it's all about Alonso.

Oh I am 110% with you there. Get Nico in there and I would love to see how Di Resta does with MB.
