Check out this interior. The car is a 2005 Spider with Bordeaux Seats & carpeting, with black mats. Notice the carbon fiber in the doors, center console, dash/wheel, and e brake. Apparently its all real Ferrari carbon fiber, not aftermarket stuff thet the owner had installed. Also note the yellow tach and F430 kick plates. It also has a stereo, amp, and speakers.

Its looks COOL! But my question is, for the purist, does this detract or add value to the car? I totally get that looks are subjective, and the "if you like it you should buy it argurment", but I am just wondering.

Me, I would replace the red carpet with black to really set off the seats.

    Thoughts?

i think it depends on the exterior. I personally think that color would hurt the value but if it were on a black or gray car maybe not. Definitely wouldn't want it on a lighter color like red or yellow.

I looked at a 360 in that color combo. Pretty much the same comment as in the "blue interior" thread: Bordeaux looks much better in person than in pictures. Every picture I've seen lightens the tone a lot, and makes it seem like a mid-80's Mustang or something. In real life it is much darker and richer looking.

I agree that black carpet would probably improve the look, though.

As long as the dash and steering wheel are black, bordeaux cars with red or black carpet look great, especially in a titanium car. The build sheet shows what color carpets came with the car if you are concerned about originality.

CF looks nice. I agree the black carpet would help a lot. Too much red for me otherwise. It probably does look better in person.

+1. I like the red as long as its only on the seats. The lower dash is also nice but it definitely needs black carpets to offset it.

The red interior will limit the "buyer base" for the car, especially with red carpets. Just a little too much red for a lot of people. No Daytonas is another drawback. My guess is the Spider is already priced below many other 430 Spiders, because of these items. As long as you are saving money upfront(compared to other similar 430's) and you like the color combination, then that is all that really matters.

The CF is not Ferrari. Its our pieces. I remember that steering wheel as the 12 o'clock ring is titanium rather than the usual silver color.
