In Car Video Cam!!

I got one of these, just came in the mail

going to the ferrari racings days at laguna seca next month, will post movies.

this replaces my old setup, which was an old canon taped to my bumper...

I have started to see more and more of these Go Cameras. I would be interested to hear your review of it. If you like it and it works well I might consider getting one myself.

They are nice!

Make sure to video with the half-open camera back. Better sound quality.

I also tried just behind the front wheel, with mixed results. Just too much wheel on it then.

If you didn't get one You may want to get the LCD screen for it, it helps a lot.

I've suggested a wireless remote microphone to them, as well as a wireless remote record/standby/off switch. "They'd take it under consideration."

 

The LCD screen cuts your battery time but I find it is a fair trade off, never ran out of battery yet.

Can you hear the popping of the exhaust on the overrun at the end of the tunnel??

And do you have ANY idea how heavy this steering wheel feels already? Forget about that quick ratio rack!

 

I tried one if these cameras in my car, with pretty poor results! All it showed was the shop wall the whole time.

Oh man, I'm sorry but I did a belly laugh when I watched that. I shouldn't laugh though because I have nightmares about this happening to me.

You have some big stones to go fish that out of the median on the busy 101! Lucky you didn't get mowed down by a silent killer like the Prius. Would you go after your keys if you dropped them in lava? Lol.

Btw, I like to call that view "squirrel cam".

 

sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself. Tough little camera though, still works perfect.

Doesn't removing the airbox create "issues"? I've heard that the box acts as a spark supressor. Also, is there not a bit of a cooler air/ram air effect with the box? It seems that, without it, the air would go into the hot engine bay thus hotter air into the carbs? Cool vid, though

 

correct. i never (well almost never) run the car w/o the airbox.
