You do realize how this thread comes across taking the merits of title issues aside, correct? I am extremely dubious of how and why you are trying to get the insurance company to cover your engine rebuild for a dropped valve. It doesn't sound like you want and/are going to divulge any details as to why you are pursuing this route which just adds to the conjecture, but from this thread and your dropped valve thread this all sounds egregiously frivolous to me on the surface of things. Do you feel that is fair to make your insurance company pay for engine rebuild caused by a dropped valve, taking into consideration that costs like these get passed down to the premiums of other insured drivers?

The BAT 328 had a clean California title but went to Arizona and it was found as salvage. I think you're correct about that. A friend of mine had his Ferrari totaled, he bought it back, rebuilt it, and still drives and wins concours with it. It does not have a salvage title.
