I think that Ferrari is gonna be hard to beat Lets hope those tyres can keep up with the car! Ahhh man i can't wait till the first race Lets get the camgpain of to the best possible start Ferrari 1-2 Finish with Rubens winning!!!
As long as they test and know the tyres they'll be mpossible to beat. That is the biggest problem they'll face this season.
Any one has information on conditions: weather, car load, and so on...? And some info on the competition as well, i.e. Coultard during that specific day?
The track was damp in the morning and then dried out as the day went on. as for the car load??? who knows it could be that Ferrari was wunning the car under the FIA minimum weight.. It is hard to say unless you were working inside of the Ferrari garage. The first practice session in Melborne will tell the entire truth. But all in all i am very optimistic that this year will be better for Ferrari than last season.
coulthard at 1.25 sec montoya at 1.375 sec i think we will love this season 2004, if the ferrari confirms with the tyres.
Bridgestones still hold an advantage in cold and wet conditions. Furthermore it was Todt's birthday. So put 1 and 1 together. Nice result, but nothing to get too exited about.
It is good PR to end the pre-season/winter testing with your brand new car on top. Eventhough Ferrari left earlier because weather conditions were hampering the tests.
I am still VERY worried about tires. Bridgestone seems to have full wet and intermediate advantage but not regular compound. Now that's great if we ran all 18 races at Silverstone but that ain't happening.
I hope you're correct and it sure seems to be that Ferrari has put together a pretty good package once again. However, I really hope that Bridgestone has something competetive for these first 3 "hot weather" races. Papa G
Interesting to look at Melbourne as a hot weather race. The forecast prooves you right with expected temps in the nineties. However thinking back somehow rain always comes to my mind. Oh what the heck: At this moment I'm so craving a GP, it doesn't matter who is gonna win. Well, almost not.
LOL I didn't even think about looking into the forecast. I figured it is now summer with the first three races in the Southern Hemisphere. How could've I forgotten about last years damp conditions and poor old Rubens. But, I am with you, time to start RACING!!! FORZA FERRARI Papa G
I think its a little like baseball...on paper, the Yankees always look the best, but they don't always get the job done. That being said, I expect Red to be the fury this year, as always of late. Forza Ferrari.
