Guys, this is a second year event put on by a few friends of mine. They've done some great legwork into what will surely become a tradition in the area.

    Details are here:

Some of you have met Ben and Vanessa at the University Club and Central events last month. We can expect plenty of Lambo and Ferrari owners to turnout.

Please direct any questions or concerns to the contact info in the link above.

    Thanks,
    LS

Saw the post and checked the facebook page.

Is this just a get together and lunch at a certain destination?

Is there a big drive involved beforehand?

Please don't take this in a disrespectful way, but if you have 3 sponsors, why does it cost so much?

Why don't the sponsors pay for the attendees. I thought this was how sponsorship worked.

Jon Walton set-up a beautiful run to an incredible mansion where we had a gourmet lunch and it was free. Donations were accepted from the participants for a Boys & Girls Club Charity event.

Please don't take this wrong , but just wondering.

Do the proceeds go to charity?

Looks like fun, but, if this is a FOR profit event, they should be up-front about it. And if there's a charity involved, it's tough to find.

It's a meet at Willow but the drive down is fun and easy to stay together if you come down in a group from DC.

The event is not for charity and the costs are just to cover the pastries and coffee, special chef's menu and a gift bag. I wanted the food to be of the high-quality their restaurant serves to reflect the grounds and make it something more than a brown bag or the standard fare that we are used to at car events. The sponsors are not kicking in any money. The two clubs are promoting among their members and Quicksilver donated to the gift bag.

That being said the event is free if you just want to drive down and enjoy the grounds.

If one of you would like to pay for all of us to have a gourmet meal for free, then I'm more than happy to put you in touch with the restaurant. :)

The free registration and ability to buy a pass for the food is at: http://passiontolive.com/carsanddrivers/

Hope to see you all there. It should be a great day of amazing cars and great people against the beautiful backdrop of the Willow Grove Inn.

Philosophy: "Every mile on my cars represents a stirring of my soul. I have cars not to collect dust, nor rust away in a garage or sit as petrified show pieces, lifeless and unmoving. I have cars to take them where they are meant to be, where they belong, where tires are pushed and brakes strain while the engine burns as the heart of a devil and exhaust screams in untethered passion. I drive cars because in that moment I am free." - passiontolive
