I am strongly considering a Rossa Corsa F1 F430 with (Natural) Cuoio interior highlighted by tons of carbon.

It seems very few F430's are specd with this choice. It appears more common on 599's and Californias.

I have seen such variation in Cuoio interior colors. Some look dark shiny brown and other especially when new look like powdery smooth dark tan, almost flesh colored.

I hope I make sense here. Its weird, the cuoio in a 360 looks a lot darker than in 430's.

I love the color in the car I am seeking to purchase. ( I wont use heavy oils or protectants too darken too much)

    Is Cuoio an odd color?

    Thoughts please

Ryan- Cuoio is my favorite interior color by far. I like it even better than the charcoal with red stitching I have in my car. Leather colors vary a bit, but Cuoio Naturale (natural leather/saddle) has always looked about the same to me. Photos of interiors are not very accurate and the distinctions between Sabia (sand), Beige, and Cuoio vary depending on lighting. The top image comes the closest I have seen to contrasting the leather colors. All from the same image, but PhotoShopped to look more realistic and the middle one with leather codes printed on top. The bottom image is the original.

I initially wanted Cuoio and went for Beige from new, as I became concerned that Cuoio was sh+t brown; that was a mistake as Beige is tooooo light colored & Cuoio is perfect

I was in a Rosso Corsa 458 with Cuoio interior (and red stitching) at the dealer a few months ago and he told me that Cuoio is the up and coming color for the interior.

Personally, I like it better than beige and it should wear a little better (look less dirty). It's also a bit tougher looking.

You shouldn't use past trends to decide the fashion of today. GM doesn't make Pink Cadillacs anymore and you won't see Ford using Turquoise as a color for it's sedans.

What's important is that you buy what you like and not worry about what others would think. So, the real question is: Do you like it?

The short answer is no, it's not and "odd" color. It's an attractive color. And, if you like it don't let get in your way.

I have beige now and I'm pretty sure my next will not be beige again. It will either be Cuoio or black but I haven't officially decided yet.

Richard- They have a new chocolate color that is much darker, I believe. Like you said Cuoio is just right.

Also wanted cuoio but settled for tan. Cuoio is richer looking. Will be my next interior. Good luck with your choice.

    Thanks for the input.

I love the color as it sits in the showroom now but I have been nervous about its look years from now from pictures of older F cars with Cuoio.

Its strange because the color changes a lot with age. If you look at older 360's the color looks orangy brown. It also takes on a shiny look that I dont care for.

The Cuoio new (more rich tan than brown and a soft powdery finish) looks superb and I do love it!

I guess the key is to treat the leather with a gentle substance that wont darken the finish too much.

There is no question Cuoio is rare when compared to beige. But, sometimes that's a positive instead of a negative. If you love it, that's the most important thing.

Good luck with the purchase! The F430 is a terrific car.

Cuoio is gorgeous. Steve Harris Imports has a TdF/Cuoio F430 spider right now that I would kill for.

It isn't an odd color. I prefer beige but that's just me. I also don't like cars that have the steering wheel and dash in that color. Again that's just my limited opinion.

An all cuoio interior is definitely rare.

I have cuoio and black interior and it looks great. Like others have said it looks richer and more substantial than tan. The finish will depend on the cleaner you use. I used pristine clean and it came out with a matte finish, not shiny as compared to Lexol. In pictures, the true color is hard to capture and I'm sure it varies depending on the lighting.

Cuoio is gorgeous. 10x's better looking than tan. Brand new, the 430 cuoio leather (or any color) has a soft, matte, light finish. But, time goes on and people get body oils on the leather and don't use the proper products to maintain it. Or even worse, they don't maintain it. So, the leather gets shinier and a little darker. Lexol will work great, but if you really want that matte look, Leatherique is the only way to go.

Here's a pic of a Rosso Corsa 430 with Cuoio leather and Bordeaux piping. I never snapped a pic of the inside, but it has black carpets and a lot of CF. Exactly how I would have built my 430.

I have Rosso Scuderia / Cuoio. I love the Cuoio on the Maseratis, but was a bit nervous on the 430. But within 1 day I was sure I loved it and have not looked back.

BTW; Am I the only person who thinks the Daytona seats look like they are from 1987? Not to mention Daytona is no longer cool unless you are a NASCAR fan drinking beer out of a can. Go fast, turn left.

I think cuoio looks the best of all the possible interiors.

I was looking for a 360 with cuoio, but couldn't find it in the right car. There are 20 tans (beige) for every cuoio.

I ended upo with black - which is the easiest to preserve, if that is a factor in your decision.

I agree - the Daytona seats are friggin beautiful.

When I was looking for my car, I had a friend (sales manager at Lamborqhini dealership and former head of a used specialty car dealership) giving me advice. I asked him if I only shop for and pay more to get the Daytona seats which I liked. His reply was something like this - "I wouldn't buy a 360 without the Daytona seats. When I was selling them used, that was the one feature that almost every potential buyer wanted."

So, the Daytonas aren't old, they are classic.

And...they are named after the 356 GTB/4 - also known unoffically as the Daytona - not the race. (although the car is nick-named after the race.)

When I was looking for my 360 I stumbled upon a Pozzi Blue example with a Cuoio interior. The combination was stunning IMHO.

    Personal taste.

May be "up and coming" but does not make me like it anymore than before. Personally don't like any browns/tans/whatevers.

Black and Crema are the only ones for me.

When searching on google for "Cuoio Ferrari" this thread comes up and I thought I'd reply here. I was looking at red 458 with black interior/racing seats. I thought this was the only color I liked (i also went to a dealer that had red/tan and hated it). I didn't know this but the tan I hated was the LIGHTER TAN - and I thought was the tan everyone talked about and bought with these cars. Well, later I then realized that Cuoio was what I should be looking at. The dealer I was at had 30+ 488's and 10 458's didn't have any with Cuoio so I assumed that lighter tan was the only option. Long story short, when I finally got to see Cuoio in person, the choice was clear.

Cuoio is ***GORGEOUS***!!! It is SO rich looking. Makes the interior of the car look a lot more expensive. The Cuoio in the 360's 430's, 458's, 488's, etc. is the same color. Ferrari came out with a new leather color starting with the 458 which is halfway between Tan and Cuoio, called "Beige Tradizione". But Cuoio also goes by "Ferrari Beige". It's a little confusing. I cannot state how I know this unless somebody asks me. Or you could just trust me. :)

Thanks. I agree. This blows away the all black with the racing seats. And my seats above are way more comfortable. But I’d take the black over that lighter tan that I hated. Lol. Here’s a pic of the horrible lighter one.

You can also see hear how the speaker grills are the same lighter tan and in my pictures above (Cuoio) the speaker grilles turn dark and it makes for a beautiful contrast.
