Funny I have a feeling V2 knows more about Bizzarrini than Mr O., and also he like Joe Sakey take pleasure in growing and sharing his knowledge.

Thanks, Philipe has a vast knowledge of many cars, Bizzarrini included and has spent many hours with Giotto Bizzarrini himself, so he has a very good understanding of the history and many of the small details, more than most will ever know.

I do like sharing the information, so people can better understand just how great Iso and Bizzarrini cars are. They were always the under dog to Ferrari, but in so many ways they surpassed them in engineering, looks, quality and reliability.

Sorry for the delay... my car is glass and has a DeDion rear..not normal for a GT America but I'm told these could be ordered any way you wanted it..It also has what I think is the original spare tire, mounted on the original Campagnolo, which is a Dunlop.

BTW the picture in American Car Prices has a clue that validates it is 0286.

GOT IT...if you notice the two vents below the rear window...I've been told this car is the only one that has these!!!! They are actually vents for outside air circulation in the cabin. They are ducted to fans in the rear compartment...

and yes both tanks still work.... I've been told these are very dangerous, this car also has the original magnesium oil pan..

You got to wonder how much air that would provide? Some better than none!

Great pic. This style logo was also used on early Campagnolo wheels on Miura's as well. Sure would like to get my hands on reproduction stickers. They appear to me to be the water transfer type.

I think so as well. Emay has several sellers of the Campy sticker, but they all seem to be self-adhesive and not water transfer.

    No connection, etc.

sorry for the misinformation but this car is actually Alloy...I've been doing some digging, literally behind some trim and under some paint chips as the paint is awful anyway and yup this is an alloy GT America...anyone have any info on this? I have read there were three?

If your digging around look behind some of the upholstery panels and see if there is a number in grease pen.

    Dear Bizza friends,
I am sorry to mingle in this discussion but I have the feeling that the car in the Paravisione film is not the same car.
That dark green car has a tan interior and headrests .....
    Ciao,
    Jack

hey jack your driving the price of the car down damn you....ha ha anyway do you have a better photo of that shot in the movie? I'm also doing some more digging on the car, number on the frame and grease marks in the interior.

Jack we had also discussed the VIN for a GT america. The pic with loftin is from 1971 and it shows the badge as GT America and I'm just wondering why they would have changed it if it wasnt always meant to be an American market car?
