I am putting a 348 spider muffler in my 348 TS. It currently has the dual can muffler. All I got was the spider muffler from a guy locally that installed an aftermarket exhaust in his 348 spider. I need that square tube bracket that goes across from frame rail to frame rail on the spider muffler set up. Do I need any other parts? The hangers that go on top of the spider muffler or can I use my dual can muffler hangers? Where to get them from? Do I have to buy OEM Ferrari or does someone make that bracket aftermarket? I can maybe make it myself also. It looks pretty simple.

You do not need new brackets; you can use the ones on the old muffler. I did the same thing and I used angle iron and I cut a notch in the angle iron to make it work. I did this a couple of years ago. I do not know if there is a thread on this one.

What about all those other parts that go from that bracket to the muffler? 6, 11, 18 etc.

The cross bar from Ferrari is only around $95 plus shipping. Looking at that drawing and my 348 it looks like the hangers are the same parts and all interchange. So it looks like all I need is that bar. I'll get a OEM Ferrari part. Trying to keep an OEM look. If that bar was a lot more I would probably make my own. Plus I know it sits at the correct height.

A quick story on this. A local 348 spider owner ordered the cat elimination pipes or hyper flows and a aftermarket muffler. Tubi? Xost? I can't remember. The cats or eliminators pipes came in right away but the muffler was back ordered. So he installed the elimination pipes but left in the stock factory spider muffler. He said it sounded excellent. When his muffler came in he installed it but he said the sound did not change very much. He told me had he known that he would have just done the cats and kept the stock factory muffler. So I am using gutted OEM cats with SS internal pipes I installed so it is not one big empty cavity plus the spider muffler. Should sound good and look OEM. Plus one will not see that big muffler hanging behind the clutch cover anymore. I'm sure that will look much nicer. I was happy to find a 348 spider muffler.

    Thanks
    Rodney
