I LOVE that Green Murcie-let's be honest that car is to be driven TOPLESS, but when it rains or the weather looks crappy in IL. it's better to put the soft top on rather than get soaked. Now if I could just get the owner of that car to give me a ride in that beauty!!!

Just as 550 Barchetta or the new 599 Aperta.
These cars are not built to look good in the rain, they are fair weather only masterpieces.
No need to sneer at fellow Fchatters car.....

I actually like how the Murcie looks with the soft top, but then again i love how the Barchetta looks with that awkward top. Gives these modern machine an instant classic look.

The top of the Aperta actually didn't look bad IMHO although you're only limited to a lower speed with it on (can't remember what it was off the top of my head). But agree 100%, the Murcis top may look cheesy but these roadsters aren't meant to have them really..

Not to mention, it's near impossible to successfully put it on.

Really? I saw the 348's top getting put on, that looked like it wouldn't take too long. But it's probably so because it's like a rag, right?

    :)

And even if you do manage to install it perfectly it still looks like something designed for another car and stretched wide enough to fit the Murcie.

IMHO no need to ever apologize for a crappy picture. The fact that you have a picture beats most of the spottings on here (including many of mine :().

    I love your shots. :)

Cool. You seem to have owned many cool cars. A Countach etc. How about listing all the cool cars you have owned. It would be great to see a list. I'm sure I will be jealous. :)

Nice. Today I saw 2 Maserati Quattroportes, Sport GT in Skokie and Executive GT 4.7 L V8 and same wheels as the GT in Skokie near Zhivago's, a Bentley Continental GTC and Rolls Royce Phantom in Chicago @ Myron and Phill's.

My get togethers are no more. I tried to make everyone happy but the weather did not cooperate the second year and I ended up with a sharp stick in the eye. I enjoyed doing them so much I even wanted to do them twice a year. Oh well. Contact Carla. She is very active in getting Chicago owners to attend shows and such but she seldom posts here because of past conflicts.
