Whether he did it for money or not, I'd have agreed to the driving, and posing, but the singing? Geez. Enjoy.

    Wow...just WOW!!!

Just the other year we had Hamilton flying through the air like a fairy **** and now we have Webber singing a song that would embarass a 3 year old...

What on earth are they thinking????

Hard to take someone seriously after they do something like this...

Agree...I don't think he give a crap about our 'delicate sensibilities'. It's cool, in a goofy kind of way.

    Just to clear something up.

Canberra is Australia's capital city, which is about 15 minutes drive from where Mark Webber grew up.

He obviously did the ad to support his local area and im doubting wether or not he got paid at all. I think its great of him to do that and show that no matter how big of a star he is, he still supports his local area.

Yes the ad was aimed at local kids, who do in fact idolize MW. Normally just before the AUS GP, Mark will arrive in Canberra and visit local schools and such and talk to the young ones about dreams/goals.

    I think its great :)

Absolutely - and I can't imagine Canberra Milk could afford anything like a figure that would be meaningfull to Mark so much more likely that he did it to support them rather than the other way around!

I've known Mark since he was 19 running FF in Australia, and later got to work with him in F3 (at ADR) and F1 (at Minardi). I guarantee he did this for donuts, just like several other Aussie celebs who hail from the ACT.

He's far and away the most mature, well-rounded, and charitable guy on the current F1 grid. And ricksb is spot on: goofy is cool for the intended kid audience, especially in Oz.

Man, it must be cool to be good friends with all the F1 drivers on today's grid so you can share insights like these!

Okay, you MAY have a point since I've been out of it a few years, but I did work in F1 from 1985 through 2005, and Mark stands out as probably the best character among all the drivers I encountered in that time, no feet of clay and worthy of being looked up to by any kid. And I do keep up with friends in the paddock, and based on that can't think of anyone else in Monaco this weekend who can give him a run in that department...

Marketing consultant to F1 teams (Haas, Arrows, Benetton, Tyrrell, Stewart, Honda, Minardi) and sponsors (USF&G, Sanyo, Ford, Hitachi, Sega, Shell), developing marketing strategies, proposal documents, and activation manuals. I trained as a graphic designer, so I did liveries along the way for all those teams. Then I got married and had kids, which turned out to be even more entertaining than F1...
