Does that hold up in the sun or will it fade?

What are the pro/cons for Suede versus Alcantara?

Wow that is great. I can't even begin to imagine the numbers. In a fiorano with the reverse leather steering wheel.

I daily drove my F355 last summer with the same dash.... zero fade. The steering wheel does though.

It's actually made from Alcantara. Most people do not know what it is so we refer to it as Suede. Real Suede fades and turns green over time.

I have had my Alcantara dash (did the deed myself) for 8 years now. It has seen a lot of sun. Yes it has faded a little bit, but it has faded from black (actually a dark dark grey) to just a little lighter dark grey, still relatively dark and still looks great. and best of all, and the reason I decided to do this (after re-leathering the pod twice)....Absolutely no shrinkage.

Great work, you've inspired me to do the same. Thank you. Any chance of a 'how to'? On seeing this I've spontaneously decided to make this my winter project at the end of the year.

JD, I've always loved that picture of your interior, perfect steering wheel to compliment the dash Alcantara!
