Hmmm strange this, I have a spare set of OEM 430 SCUD wheels in dark GOLD that I had on my CS bought from my Ferrari Dealer. I wanted to see what they would look like on the SCUD compared to my dark Grey wheels but my fitter tells me the Golds don't fit on the front due to catching on the brake calipers. How can this be as my spare set are SCUD wheels too, or did Ferrari make a set of SCUD replicas for a 430 ?

Yes, Ferrari did make a set of SCUD replicas for fitment to a regular 430. I believe that the fronts are narrower on the SCUD replicas, compared to wheels made for Scuderia fitment.

Fronts on a Scud are 8Jx19 compared to 7.5Jx19 on a CS or F430, all with the same offsets. Back wheels on all are 10Jx19 with identical offset. Scud front brakes are 398x36 mm and CS/F430 CCM front brakes are 380x34 mm. All have 350x34 mm rear CCM brakes.

The standard Scud 8Jx19 wheels fit the 360/CS/F430 perfectly, but Ferrari went ahead and made 7.5Jx19 wheels for the F430, so that is why the larger and thicker Scud brakes would not fit.

    Scuderia Style Wheel Rims Kit

The design of the F430 Scuderia racing wheels is now available for all F430s, with measurements designed to comply with regulations in various countries. The wheels can only be used in combination with the mono-block titanium studs: ideas that enhance the absolute technical limit in terms of non-suspended lightweight masses on the F430. This Scuderia style highlights the racing spirit of the car. The wheels are available in two colours: Magnesium gold and Scuderia grey.
The special 10-spoke design combines compliance with planning standards and safety considerations-developed over years of success in the world of racing-with the lightest weight possible for non-suspended masses, thanks to an 11% weight reduction over standard wheels. This reduction in weight gives an even more sporty, limit-defying driving feel in the true Ferrari tradition.
Wheel measures: front 7,5Jx19” and back: 10Jx19”.
